Another good writeup from preseason:
When opponents see Chris Walker coming at them, his 6-foot-6, 270-pound frame is formidable, perhaps even a bit scary.
So there is symmetry in the Lincoln East senior's choice to call his truck "Frankenstein."
"I have an '88 Bronco I'm restoring, soft-top. I call it my 'rat rod,' because when I got it, it was pretty rough, with pieces and parts of different Broncos," Walker said. "She looks like a Frankenstein truck."
Walker can be just as menacing on the football field, although he's learned to control his emotions.
"I didn't start football until late middle school. I played soccer for seven or eight years, but I got red-carded too much, so I quit," he said. "Now I'm pretty good about it on the field. Just shut your mouth and go to the next play.
"It's not worth getting ejected. I start both ways, so if I get ejected, what am I doing to my team if I'm not out there contributing?"
