Is Born in a Barn really that good? I tried them a few times the first year they were open and they were awful every time. Better wings can be found at the food truck, better beer can be found in plenty of places...

I like their burgers, their wings are crap. Get the pub chips and don't get their hour old bar fries as a side. You can also go around the corner to the crow bar. Kinda hipster but great pizzas and burgers too. Also best tap beer selection in town. Find the double dubs wings truck in town if you want wings. If we somehow pull this off, the party downtown will be nuts.

The dirty hipster vegan bar at front street has a pretty great tap beer selection and Coal Creek has the best beer.

I used to have the same feelings, at least about their food. I refused to eat there all through college because I assumed I hated vegetarian food. Boy was I wrong. Cauliflower buffalo wings are an amazing thing.

Worst gas/stomach pains I ever had was after consuming a portobello melt at Sweet M.'s. Never again.

Lol this seems like an argument I won't win.

Another place that I have really been enjoying lately is the Alibi. Really good wood fired pizza and sandwiches, plus plenty of great drinks.

I'll have to give born in a barn another try, sounds like they improved which is definitely a good thing. The Crow Bar is awesome food as well, I'll be sure to hit both up when I come back to town.

Do any of you remember Burger Xtreme? It was on 3rd, between grand and ivinson. I think a Thai place went in its place. They were some shady owners, but as a California kid on a college budget, it was my 2nd home!

You guys are dicks lol! The last time I was even in Laramie was 2007... I think. Last cowboy game I went to was the home game against Virginia. But I just bought (last weekend) a brand-new 27 ft travel trailer. First planned trip (with my better half and son) will be the weekend prior to the Oregon home game next fall. Plan on catching both home games and doing a ton of fishing and tailgating.

These restaurants you guys mention... Never even heard of them. All has changed I guess. What is the name of the all night taco/burrito place that Larry Nance Jr loved so much? Gonna have to try that. God I miss Laramie.

Living in Seattle sucks as a die-hard cowboy fan. My city slicker wife was blown away at how cool Wyoming is... Her first trip this summer was epic. Trying to decide if I should even take her through Rawlins where I grew up, heard they got a Walmart now.

Mostly plan on fishing around saratoga, Ryan park, battle lake. Corona village... Man I miss that place.

Laramie has a wing food truck, god I'm old.

Likely talking about Almanza's... it is okay

That would be Almanza's. Good stuff, especially as a hangover cure! Lots of drunk college kids and football players can be found there late at night. It's also right across the street from Sonic, where the Tech-er's hang out trying to pick up high school chicks. Let's just say I witnessed quite a few fights in either parking lot lol

The breakfast Burritos at Almanza's are second to none. Sure it's not authentic or healthy, but it will literally keep you full for 12 hrs and tastes damn good too. Now, carbonpoke, be sure you're putting a generous amount of their red sauce on it. My body has developed a certain immunity to the effects that so often beset other Almanza's patrons, so I can't speak to how your digestive system will react to the heaping amounts of cheese, bacon, eggs and french fries that are contained by a delicious home made tortilla. What I can promise is you will be satisfied, at very least, while you eat it.

I don't like chorizo. Maybe that's it

I'm a fan of Rawlins. Lots of good people there. As you know, some of the best country in the world lies to the south.

Chorizo sucks. I agree. The bacon and steak ones are pretty awesome though.

Next time I'm in town we're going to the hipster, vegan places for some tofurky tacos and lightly chilled skim lattes.

Fuck that. Let's go start a bar fight instead. I need my ass kicked...and I like the taste of my own blood.
