Colorado State and Fresno State

Anyone watch this game?
CSU is making their living by throwing deep and pounding the ball w/ Johnson. CSU is up right now 33-28, but I think Fresno may have just lost the game for themselves as they punted the ball away on 4th down, 2:51 left...... and nevermind. Johnson just took one 77 yards for a TD. This game is definitely over now. Good win for the MWC, but to hell with the sheep. :thumb:

The passing attack of CSU is one of the most unique things I've seen recently in collegel football. Farris couldn't throw a short/intermediate pass to save his life, but the guy can throw a pretty good deep ball. They threw the ball deep hoping that either their receiver would make a catch or get a pass interference call. It's an interesting approach but one that definetely utilized the strengths of Farris. They have some receivers that adjust to the ball very well while it is in the air and do a very good job of shielding the defender from the ball. They made some nice ctaches even when there was textbook coverage from the Freson St. secondary. You could tell CSU practiced the deep ball a lot in practice. I thought Fresno St. abandoned the run too early. They were really gashing the CSU defense with their run game and seemed to go away from it as soon as they lost the lead. Watching Fresno St. run all over them made we wonder what the hell happened when we played them.

Fresno did abuse them with the run.

Then BYU... eek! Man, they played horrible tonight. Their kicker missed 2 or 3 FGs, blew some opportunities, and Max Hall just couldn't get it done passing tonight.

I know it wasn't probably the best thing for the conference to have BYU lose tonight, but I ABSOLUTELY loved every second of watching them lose. I debated whether or not to watch the game as I literally puke all over myself when I have to watch those sick mother F'ers win a single game. I honestly don't even look at them as a football team any more. They make my goddamn blood boil. I can't wait until we knock these pieces of shit off. I'll prbably get arrested, but it will be well worth it.

And the announcers did make a point that 16 of the 22 BYU starters had been on a 2 yr mission. Translation: These missionaries are two years older than the average player on the field.

Nicely stated. It has been 5 years (2003) since we beat the pricks at all...and something like 20 since we beat them in provostan. Eff em.
