College football bowl season

Houston is a solid program. Will never get into the Big XII as the Texas schools don't want to add/compete with another Texas school for the higher level recruits. Houston deserves to be in the Big XII but is never going to happen with the University of Texas calling the shots in that conference.

No game with Alabama is fun to watch. I wonder how much each player was getting paid

I might be the only Nick Saban fan West of the Mississippi. He runs a clean ship, probably much cleaner than a lot of his counterparts (or former).

Just because he hasn't been caught doesn't mean it's clean. Look at all the years Joe Paterno was considered one of the most respected coaches in College Football.

That's quite the claim, do you consider all coaches dirty then? By that logic...

Just because Wyoming never wins doesn't mean we suck

I just don't get why he thinks he's so intimidating to the press and his players. The dude is a midget. One of his players could pick him up and break his 5-1 ass in half.

I don't believe all coaches are dirty. I don't believe all programs are dirty, but I do believe all of the SEC programs are dirty.

Two words "bag men" . The SEC does it. They just don't get punished like other schools nor investigated

Bob Stoops has ran one of the "cleaner" programs at OU for a long time, but I still have been told by an individual that played there that he was given cash by boosters after almost every game. Getting caught, and being clean are two very different things. I would be very surprised if there are more than only a handful of P5 schools that have zero of these types of infractions going on.

OU always pays the NCAA under the table whenever the NCAA even gives them a dirty look. OU needs to apply for SEC membership asap!!!

I saw a FB post that was pretty funny. I wish I could remember exactly what it said but it was something like:

"Full cost of attendance because even benchwarmers need booster money"

That wasn't it, but that was the idea.

I have a fun story about OU... but I can't share it in this media. It was pretty eye opening.

Joe's problem wasn't how he acquired athletes.. it was the behavior of his coach outside of football. And even then, still VERY questionable if the NCAA had the authority to punish for it (which is why they served virtually no time with sanctions).

I never said every coach is dirty but do I believe for a instant that every coach in a big time program is innocent in this day and age. The answer to that would be a big fat no.

Getting caught is right. I bet each and every FBS school violates all these rules by boosters, recruiting rewards/handouts, etc. Though it's all about who gets caught. Nobody reports this so nobody hears about it. We all assume nothing goes on, but I highly doubt it. Winning in today's college athletics is about doing whatever it takes to win, even if that compromises the integrity of the game. It's a total shame, but the truth, IMO.
