Colby....

...f##king #####gard is now officially the biggesttttttttttt goat in U-Dub history. After a f##king timeout he is the only guy on offense who forgets the play. One F##KING yard....one F##KING yard.

WOW..........

Maybe unfair to blame him singularly, however on a day our defense showed up for the first time this season, it would have been refreshing to see our offense go for the kill, get that 1 first down we needed...if they had we'd all be drinking to a tremendously inspiring road win right now -- and really looking forward to the Air Force game next week.

Nevada's QB was able to move his team and score points -- ours looked rather feeble.

Awful...

I can't blame him either. He shouldn't have been put out there in the first place. He stood about as much chance as I would have in getting that first down.

The fact that this guy ever sees the field, or is even on the team, for that matter, tells you how woeful Wyoming is. He literally wouldn't start for the local high school here.

Did you see which way the line blocked? The same side that Colby opened up to. Is it possible the running back went the wrong way? Don't be so quick to judge.

Once again, it comes back to coaching. No way colby and easton should be doing that play, period. Thompson should have been been in and he whole wildcat play he does. One yard and we have an inexperienced rb and off the bench qb in. One of the coaches blew that one hardcore.

i just can't understand that when your number's called you can't get it done that's all
I'm with djm19 on this one, it's the coaching. They're the ones that put these two "green" players in this position. Also, it's been determined that it was the RB that ran the wrong way, not Colby turning the wrong way. Colby was a fantastic HS QB, so if they can't get him to where he needs to be, shame on them. Unless he's some nut case, but that's not what I hear from the other players.

Let's face it, right now, if we could hold on to our players, Colby wouldn't have been in that position. On the depth chart, besides Smith, he'd most likely be behind ACS, Pittser, Miller and maybe even Woodward. But they're not here! They've done well at getting good QBs here. Not so good at keeping them.

I watched Colby play HS football on TV here in Scottsdale and he was a great QB in HS I lay this blame squarely on the shoulders of the coaching staff and here are my reasons.

1. You don't down the ball at the end of the half when you have 3 timeouts and a min to go. That is something we always do and in the long run has cost us more losses than people realize.

2. As a coach you can not show a complete lack of faith in your team offensive or defensive and that is what I see the coaching staff do far to often.

3. See 1 & 2 you also don't down the ball in the 4th quarter and hope for a overtime win it shows that same lack of faith in your team and if you don't have faith in the team you are coaching than what are you doing there?
