I have no idea what the website says, but looks like he signed something for some team, somewhere to play something.

Google translate came up with this

Tyreso Royal Crowns is proud to present its first import players for the season 2015. The election has, after a long and very detailed search process, fallen on Colby Kirkegaard (QB, University of Wyoming, NCAA D1).

Colby is a 23 year old who come to Sweden and Superserien with excellent credentials from the game at the highest college level. In 2014, he was both starter and captain of his Wyoming Cowboys when they met among other teams like Oregon, Michigan State and Boise State.

Voices for Colby from Tyresö's backroom team

Andreas Ehrenreich, head coach
"QB is always a key solicitation, and is often the difference between a good and a bad season. We as a team have been extremely careful and serious in our quest for the right man to lead Royal Crowns attack in 2015. In Colby, we feel we have found the right both as a leader, player and teammate. He comes to us with the merits of high college-level and I look forward to seeing him against the Super Series Resistance. "

Christopher Fredlund, offensive coordinator
"Colby is a really sharp pair of compasses, with a very high football IQ. His track record with games against teams like Oregon and Michigan State speaks for itself. "

Thomas Carlstedt, WR coach / recruiting manager
"It feels very fun and exciting that we have managed to sign a contract with a quarterback of Colby's caliber. Colby comes with its qualities as a quarterback to fit our assault on a very good way. He also was a great asset for us with his knowledge and experience from playing at a high level. After all the conversations we had with him during the recruitment process and what we have heard from references regarding his person, I am also convinced that he will fit in lagbygget in an excellent manner. "

Brent Vigen - Offensive Coordinator / Quarterbacks Coach University of Wyoming Football
" The main Attributes That You are looking for (student of the game and leadership) are the areas Colby Particularly excelled this past season. He is a man of great character and it is very easy for his teammates to RESPOND to him ".

Of course, a player of Kirkegaard qualities a clause that allows him to break the contract if he gets an offer to play in any of the North American professional leagues. For TRC's Some sights are set on gambling in Sweden and Colby arrive in Sweden early in the month of April, to have time to get co-training with his new teammates before the series launch on May 9 away against newcomers Vasteras Roedeers. First chance to see Colby play at home on Tyresövallen is Saturday, June 6 when Tyreso receives Uppsala 86ers.

Good for Colby! We all had our qualms with him last season, but there's no doubt that he gave it everything he had. I wish him nothing but the best in Sweden.

Well that's something they will never have to worry about.

Lol.

He was a loyal and tough. Two qualities I like in a player. He represented Cowboy tough and I respect that. Glad he is following his dream so Good for him. Good Luck to Colby

As I sit here in my office making good money, supporting the family & living the life... I still think about my days of playing Minor league/AFL2/IFL all for very little money. I wouldn't have traded that experience for anything. Football filled a void in my life that nothing else ever has!

Good for Kirk. There are definitely worse places to spend a year than Tyresö, and it's one of the better teams in Sweden (which means they're probably barely at the same level as Idaho State).

My brother helped start a team in the late 80s, and the team's been taken behind the shed by Tyresö every time they've played.

Oh, should also mention that Tyresö's DL coach is former Bronco (Demetrin) Leandro Veal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demetrin_Veal" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

How the hell does Colby K end up on the same level as Brett Smith...
He stayed for his senior season...
Its sad that one (senior) year of shit trumped 3 years of general badassery.
You have to learn to read a defense and throw downfield with strength and accuracy. Those were simple concepts Smith struggled with last offseason.

Because all of his touchdown passes were screens and short dump offs...

Never said they all were, but you have to be able to make a downfield throw more than every once in a while because having mobility only gets you so far in the pros. Just ask Timothy Tebow.

Kirk in my opinion was better at reading coverage's than Brett. Of course he couldn't run or scramble. He was simply a pocket passer. Brett can scramble, extend a play and find an open receiver.

Every once in awhile? He's Wyoming all time touchdown passer... He has 76 career passing tds. Thats more than a "few" lucky breaks.
