Cam Newton is a phenomenal QB? False. Phenomenal QBs win games. Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, and Aaron Rodgers are phenomenal QBs. Cam Newton is a self centered, in it for himself, cocky douchebag.
Cam sucks and will be backing up in three yearsJ-Rod said:LOL You guys are too much.....6-6, 250lbs, sub 4.5 40......3,500+ passing yards 700+ rushing yards in both his seasons on a very bad football team...shattered Peyton Manning's rookie records.....but he's not that good.....no upside here. I have to quit taking people on this board so seriously.![]()

His team actually has a lot of talent on it, he has two stud running backs and a decent o line with some good weapons at reciever, I will give you that the d is not that good, but the Indy d has always been bad, yet Manning won all of the time. Cam is a terrible leader and a terrible person so he will never be a guy that can be a leader on a team and lead them to championships which is what he has to do with the NFL being a qb driven league. He is exactly like Mike Vick, very talented player, but horrible leadership and doesn't know how to win. He doesn't have the kind of leadership like Russel Wilson or RG3 the type of leadership it takes to win in the NFL.J-Rod said:LOL You guys are too much.....6-6, 250lbs, sub 4.5 40......3,500+ passing yards 700+ rushing yards in both his seasons on a very bad football team...shattered Peyton Manning's rookie records.....but he's not that good.....no upside here. Our recieving corps isn't bad either. Deepest it's been in quite a while. Just need the o-line and RBs to step up enough to keep some of the pressure off of Brett. O-line by giving him adequate protection and RBs by getting 4 yds a carry consistenty (or at lest 3). I would not complain if they got more though.ProudWYOAlum said:It's been rare to say this as a Wyoming fan.... But Brett Smith is one of the best QBs in the country. He is our best playmaker, let him make plays. He's deadly on the run but I agree, get out of bounds!
We've come a long ways from the days of Dax Crum, Doss, Hetrick, Sween, and Stutzriem!
This is exciting to hear. I didn't realize that they weren't swapping out receivers during practice. What they're doing is an age old coaching strategy: If you can perform under extreme pressure then you will be extra sharp when you're fresh. Basketball coaches do it all the time.jarhead said:Ok fellas I know how you crave a little "inside" information so here is bone for you. This may be public knowledge already for anyone who has went to a practice or two. DC currently has his team running offensive plays at a rate on one every 12 seconds. His goal it to get to one play every ten seconds. The thought is that at elevation it will be a difference maker. Another piece of info that I wasn't aware of is that the receiver's coach, Sage, was the receiver's coach in NH when Chip Kelly was the OC, so he has worked with this system before. I will tell you that in the scrimmages it is a killer on the receivers because they do not sub in every other play like they would in a game situation. They are expected to get back to the LOS get the play call and execute in 12 seconds. That is tough to do when you have just ran a 50 yard fade! Finally, it isn't so much the pace right now it is the mistakes that everyone is making because of the pace........as my son stated "it is difficult to think and execute when you are exhausted.....things are just happening really fast right now but we are getting used to it!"
Now add in a bunch of tired D-linemen and our young inexperienced O-linemen should hopefully be able to open some holes for our running backs.OrediggerPoke said:At 7220 feet, all we have to do is tire out one or two DBs and BAM big touchdown play!
You mean the hurry up, right?J-Rod said:The no huddle is a double-edged sword....awesome when its working, but when it isn't....the defense plays A LOT....it will be interesting to see how this works....it sounds like a great idea, but it can have a downside.
Hurry up, no huddle, same difference.fromolwyoming said:You mean the hurry up, right?
