Our losing record and being the object of national ridicule are obvious signs of a program headed in the wrong direction-
signs of an Athletic Department in disarray

but I hope UW admin gives Christensen one more year
not because hes earned it...but because we have to get our house in order before trying to find another coach...

PLEASE let someone consider replacing Burman as AD BEFORE he hires another coach so we can get this situation turned around....

Dave Christensen, Wyoming vs. Fresno State – College Football is an incredibly competitive game and the difference between a winning football program and a losing football program is razor thin at most schools and thus head coaches must always be on guard for weaknesses in their teams that will show up on the field of play and watching Wyoming play in 2012 we see many weaknesses and not surprisingly to us the Cowboys have started the season…

…including last Saturday’s close loss to Air Force at home.

With these games left for Wyoming…

At Fresno State
Boise State
Colorado State
At New Mexico
At UNLV
San Diego State

…the Cowboys need some momentum to end the 2012 season on a high note and beating Fresno State on Saturday in Fresno would be a good place to start.

I suspect he could be on the hot seat for a month or longer and Wyoming won't take action.

I saw the video of his rant for the first time last friday. I was a little shocked at how he seemed to lose complete control.
I'm not even sure that what Calhoun did was a big deal. Last night, it was obvious that a Steeler's receiver faked a cramp to save a timeout. A play later, he's back in the game and Collinsworth and Michaels jokingly said that his recovery was a miracle.

I don't think DC deserves to lose his job but I'm disappointed that he lost control and gave the school a bad name with his poor sportsmanship.

I'm worried what this video is going to do to our recruiting class and the possibility of transfers.

I agree with all three of you. DC is aquiring a poor reputation=it will be difficult for him to latch on anywhere else now-even as a coordinator...he will weather the season as our HC-partially due to the new contract he got from our AD- but it is apparent that recruiting will be complicated at the end of the season. In addition,under the current leadership, recruited talent has continually exited the program-
to this fan, it appears we will have to endure at least one more year of diminishing potential with the shell of the program everyone had hoped to see.
I know you've heard this before, but I lay this one squarely on the AD. He has to go-and we need find a talent magnet-a turnaround artist-a charismatic,experienced energetic VISIONARY-to run UW athletics, and conduct the next coaching hire

Everyone thinks we need some instate Wyoming guy, I personally disagree. I think an instate Wyoming guy is the problem to begin with they have no vision and they have very very low expectations. We need an out of state guy that wants to turn the UW athletics around not in instate guy that is willing to settle.

Agreed.....never understood that approach. If there is an obviously successful candidate with ties (say for Alabama, Mike Riley at Oregon State) then sure, go for it. But don't hire a "Wyoming man" just for the sake of it.

OU made the same mistake hiring John Blake ass their head football coach in the mid-90s because he was a former player at OU. BIG time disaster for OU!!!!! Loved every second of it.
