CMU game thread

So how do you not put another guy in the box? They ended up with 342 yards rushing and we stay in our 4-3 with two safeties back??? Horrific coaching.

Baby Bohl looked like he was prepared for the UNC passing attack and concluded if Colgate could slam the door so could the Cowboys.

His game plan under the leadership of the hand picked Bohl system of great DC’s was simply Bohlshit. His game plan looked like one that only a coach full of fear and trepidation would go with because he knows he has numerous deficiencies he is trying to mask.

The entire Wyoming program is WEAK exactly like the head coach who appears to be in a constant state of bewilderment on the sideline as to how these results could be happening.

The HC and DC, so two of the tree most important positions, are nepo hires. Not a recipe for success!!

You would think a competent coach would instruct his kicker to not kickoff out of bounds. I know of at least three times this has happened this year, already. If you don’t want a return, put it in the end zone. If you do want a return, kick it to the inside third of the field.

Didn’t get to watch it today. But the discussion reminds of the Temple Bowl Game.
What I remember about the Temple game was the physical size of the Owls compared to the average Poke in uniform making us look like a HS team playing college football. They just played smash mouth ball.

The difference today from the TV eye ball perspective is CMU wasn’t physically superior in physique like Temple, they are just better coached and attacked weak areas with the execution that was obviously implemented in game preparation this week. In fact, CMU didn’t change it up much from the game with Colgate. We simply didn’t look like we were sure of what to and constantly showed a concession to stopping the run around 5 yards downfield of which many plays went for more yards before the tackle was completed.

Disagree with this part.

If he doesn’t act now, that all but guarantees another dreadful season again next year.

That is not acceptable, in my opinion. The time to act on athletics is now.
I think we’re actually on the same page, so let me clarify what I meant.

I absolutely do not think Wyoming should wait. At this point, I think the decision on the football program is pretty clear, and kicking the can down the road only risks wasting another season.

My point about President Reeves is different: I simply don’t expect him to act right now. He has about a million problems to solve across the institution, and he has already acknowledged that Athletics is one of them. But Wyoming has significant challenges as an academic institution, and that has to be where his time and energy are prioritized. Everything else, including Athletics, is secondary to that.

That excuse only works for so long, though.

So when I say I don’t expect anything from Reeves, I mean right now. I understand why Athletics may not be at the top of his desk today. But I absolutely expect action soon, because allowing this to continue into another season would be unacceptable.
