Close Wins

I realize that our narrow margin of victory in several games builds character and confidence in the players. But it still worries me. Any thoughts?

When you have the best two players on the floor and your offense is a lot of one on one in the post it helps to get those clutch, tough buckets. I don’t think it’s luck we keep coming out on top of close games

This may sound weird, but being at the game last night, I never felt that Wyoming winning the game was at any risk. The game was always close and Boise even had a few leads but it just felt like we could go down low to Ike at any time to get a needed bucket.

Fresno will be a big test though because they play so well at home. I am worried we will see a let down in intensity after the past 2 games. Hope I am wrong here though.

Orlando Robinson is going to be the key for Fresno. If Ike gets in foul trouble (as he is wont to do) we've got nobody that will be able to keep up with Robinson.

Ike made Armus and company look like boys last night. He’s dominated everyone he’s played. Washington from Nevada is Robinson light, Mensah from SDSU will likely his toughest test as he’s quick and defends well

I had that same feeling. In fact, I felt like we were going to pull away and possibly blow them out. Give Boise some credit. They hung with us.

Aside from Arizona, I haven't felt like we were going to lose all season. Maybe it's the early battles at Washington and Grand Canyon that gave me the confidence the team would find a way to win, but it seems like there is an aura of winning around the team right now. They feel it and believe it. The coaches feel it and believe it. I think that conveys to the fans as well. There is a confidence that they will find a way to get it done.

Never was I worried nor on edge at last nites game, i have been telling those around me I am more excited game in and game out that with all the close games we've won, we truly know how to win and that's important and builds confidence to know how to win!! We're in great shape and 10 left to go....get er done, game at a time...Beat the Bulldogs
