Any info on him? Had a deep TD catch. Heard he was a JC transfer. Sophomore or junior?

Looks like he is a sophomore.went to Tyler junior college. From Texas and ran track in high school. Be nice to have a surprise in the receiving corp. trey Norman looks like he's doing well.

It shows him as a soph and I looked at his Juco Stats and kid averaged over 20 yards per catch at Tyler Junior College.

Found out this about him from his senior year in high school “The program that eventually lands Claiborne will get an extremely productive receiver. As a senior, he caught 104 passes for 1,571 yards with 18 touchdowns. As a junior, Claiborne led the Bulldogs to a perfect 16-0 mark, catching 58 passes for 1,050 yards and 14 TDs”

Don’t know why he didn’t get picked up by an FBS or FCS program but at the JC level he had 472 receiving yards on 22 catches.

Makes me wonder if he didn't have academic problems coming out of high school and went the JC route to get his grades in order. Sounds like he could be a good WR.

He looks like he has good potential. But, it makes me wonder not only why he went JUCO (probably academic), but why he only averaged 2 catches a games. 22-427 isn't bad, but it's a FAR cry from what he was putting up the two previous years in h.s.

It's all about the size, No one wants a 5' 9" receiver and only smaller schools will even give them the opportunity to play. Our bread and butter has been on smaller guys that big name schools won't touch.

Herron is about 5'9, isn't he? Great speed, but hands seem to be only so-so for Herron. If both were RBs (I know Herron was, but now he's a WR), size isn't THE thing for RBs, so long as you have the speed and strength.

He is a receiver not a RB and size is the main reason you see a very productive player in high school never get recognized for that next level or a great college receiver never make it big in the NFL.

This guy is probably an amazing receiver but the world isn't likely to ever know because of his size.
