CHOKE JOB!!!

Hands down, this team is anti-clutch in crunch time. Unreal. I can barely watch this team play in the second half. R we even going to the NIT? I'm not so sure after tonight...

Tonight did not change our resume. We lost, on the road, to a Top 25 team. This was never on the list of games that we counted as a probable win.

What we lost was the last best chance to redeam our lost "Bubble" status.

I am also quite worried about that TCU game now.

I'm worried about every game. 20 wins is not looking likely, even with Boise and TCU coming to Laramie. We just have too shallow a bench to get the job done right now. It's still been a great first season for Coach Shy, but these last few weeks have shown that we have a long ways to go.

Right after he missed his 1-1

i get not having guys on the free throw line during the game, but we need to have guys on the line in that instance. I was screaming at the TV. a 1 on 1 and no guys for a rebound!!! I think its good to rest the guys during FT's but not in the last 2 minutes. who knows what happens on the miss, but if no one is there, I can definitely tell you what's going to happen.

Wow, hardly a clutch performace. Miss free throws at the end, no field goals till the very end[one] and fumbling that pass at the end that could of been the game winner is far from clutch.

I'd say they played well against a top 25 team on the road. yeah, they blew another lead and didn't pull it out, but they are playing great D and its great to be in all these games and it's great to feel terrible that we didn't win instead of just watching a Schroyer lead team getting blown out.

Then he passed the ball to the other team for a game ending dunk. Wyoming basketball breaks my heart twice in 5 days.

I'm just frustrated because there clearly isn't a dominant/unbeatable team in this conference and we let this one get away. Refs or not...we can't keep waiting until 10sec left in the shot clock to run offense. We need offense and consistency. I wish we had that one player that can completely take over in any game. Preferably a pg that can take over somewhat similar to Murray St's pg.

Well, it took Murray St. several successful years before they could land that PG. Wyo is under one year coach with a lone winning season in three years. Wish all you want, we are where we are, and it won't just change. These kids were predicted to be terrible, and they have played great! Yes, the four game losing streak has been rough for us all...But, isn't that great?! To be able to feel again. Like we had the game and we couldn't finish? Unlike feeling numb the last four years wondering how much are we going to get blown out by? This teams worse loss was to Denver by 11 points. They have played hands down the best basketball that we've had in Laramie since 02 when we went 21-11. Wyo is going places, in the future. Eventually they will be where Murray St is and be able to pick up a good PG or F or C who can change the game.

But did you expect 20 wins when this season started? Not sure I did..

I will leave that for coach to decide. It seems like that is an explicitly deliberate choice rather than merely a passive mindset on our part.

From what I saw when we got break opportunities last night, I think I am glad that coach is pulling back on the reins hard with this team.

When was the last time we went into the conference tournament thinking that winning it was a realistic possibility? I do not expect it to happen, but it does not seem like a pipe dream either. It has been about 9 years since I thought that personally.

This was not a Choke job in my opinion, we simply ran outta gas against a top 25 team in OT, that's it. The funny thing is people are saying we aren't going to get even an NIT bid, are you crazy. After all this teams trials and tribulations they have to be rewarded for their hard work and dedication. Sure I'm not happy about the last 4 outcomes, but face it, we've come a long way since the last 3 HORRIBLE seasons. To be 18-9 that's leaps and bounds difference from last years 10-21 season, you gotta admit. It's wonderful to hear that the coach loves his effort on the floor, and any talk of a post season is just a plus. The problem with it is the lack of fan support at the AA, we may get 1 home game, but if we advance we'll have to travel.
It's nice to wake up the next day after a game and have that "we shoulda won" feeling, kinda a heart breaking loss. look at it this way this team needs all the extra practice that extra games will provide, but with a few seniors we need to get the younger dudes more playing time for next year!! The sky's the limit for us in the future and once the "true" fan support comes we'll be a force even more so to reckon with!!!
The tourney upcoming anything can and may happen!!!!
KEEP IT UP POKES, I'm truly proud

this is truly a good point at the end of games, stay in there for a potential ft miss and put back!!!!!

Yep needed to have rebounders there. There was just extra pressure on Martinez for the free throws knowing there was no chance of the rebound. We needed to give our best chance to score which would include having rebounders in this instance. Especially since SDSU would not be looking for a fast break with less than a minute to go and a lead.

This ^^ I personally don't believe anyone on these forums can say they expected us to have a 20 win season. In fact I would go as far as to say most people didn't even want to watch the team still. I have faith I'm not worried we have a few building years but we look better than we have in years.

Well said this year has been better than at least the last four and maybe six or seven. Under Schroyer we would have been blown out by SDSU, New Mexio, and UNLV by 20 or more. This year we were competitive in all of those games. Exceeded my expectations this year and I think things will only get better.

If you told me when Heath got fired that the new coach would have us in the discussion for the postseason and most likely a NIT bid this year I would have said the new coach was a success!

I thought this was one of our better games. Washington hardly played and he wasn't very productive when he was in. Martinez was almost completely shut down and yet we still almost pulled it out. That's a very good team we lost to. They have more talent than us and they were at home. I was proud of our boys last night. They didn't choke.
