Chandler Garrett will be the key

Speaking of Cockhill, anybody notice his successor Bob Cole is OC of Northern Illinois... that's a pretty good program. I wonder how these guys get some of these jobs sometimes.

Were the Bramlett boys recruited by Glenn and his staff?
I think Vic....not sure though.

Yes they were Vic's

O.K. Thanks.

The reason I asked was that I keep reading that one of Glenn's biggest flaws is that he could find a QB. Well..the Bramletts were good QBs. In fact, Corey helped us beat UCLA, a P5 school, in Vegas for our first bowl win in what felt like a millennium.

My big problem with Glenn was his extreme loyalty to his assistants...some HAD to be fired but he wouldn't fire them. Anybody remember Cockhill?
Cory was not a good qb. Your statement is highly debatable. The fact that Glenn could not find a good qb did him in. He could very well still be coaching here if he didn't miss on so many qbs. However, it may have been they didn't get the coaching they needed, like you said.

O.K. the Bramletts were decent QBs. But you have to admit Corey did help give us one of the best memories in the past 15 years...beating UCLA in Vegas.

He did. And it was a fun moment

Maybe the reason why we're getting these recruits is the kids recognize that freshmen have a tough time competing with veterans, and maybe they see a work in progress, like the oline, and they see good things ahead.

Garrett sounds like a keeper, it'll be fun watching him.

As hard off as we are as fans right now - very negative - one of the good things about the program is we have a head coach who is positive and has positive staff around him. He can say he won multiple national championships - beat tough teams on their turf. And he can say that is what he is building here.

I'm betting Bohl is saying something like this "We aren't great right now - but you are one player that I'm recruiting out of many that can make us great. I did alot at NDSU - and with you on the team - we are going to be challenging the big boys for a title game soon. We will make NDSU look pretty insignificant."

At least I hope that is how its working out.

I just read on trib that he believes in the coaching staff and that he's read the forums and say people need to remember it takes time to do a 180. Glad that all the bitching from people hasn't changed your mind and that he's as upbeat about coming to laramie as ever. Thank you young man hope you find it as fun a place as the rest of us.
