After thinking about it: Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Chandler. We don't have time for quitters. If he wanted to leave after the season, fine, I get it, he wants playing time. But to puss out in the middle of a championship run? Dead to me. Why in the middle of the season? Bad choice and I hope he doesn't establish a pattern of this throughout his life

We have had several touted recruits at QB over the past decade who have left and have fizzled. This isn't new what he is doing. However, these cases rarely pan out. Ask Austin Fort.

Nah, as far as I understand, Dino talks to a lot of players fairly regularly. It's possible Chandler said something about his plans he hadn't planned to "release" yet. These are just kids, after all, not people trained to deal with media.

Dino is so desperate to be relevant I can see this happening.

It's also completely possible it was a misunderstanding, to be fair. Dino might've thought it was fair game because Chandler brought it up, while Chandler might not have realized Dino would essentially announce it.

It's all speculation, regardless. What's obvious is that somebody screwed up one way or other because of how it all came out.

?? A medical for what? Last year? He used a regular redshirt last year. He was a sophomore last year and is again this year. Unless he gets hurt again he won't get a medical.

He is a redshirt sophomore because of last year. While technically last year was a medical redshirt it is treated as a redshirt. You don't get to use another redshirt if your medical is first. He could still possibly get a sixth year if he was injured again but I hope that never happens.

Well, then, he should have kept his fucking mouth shut.

That said, I will give Chandler the benefit of the doubt...as I mentioned in the thread earlier, there are 2 sides to every story / situation. Problem is, he ran the mouth a little, and it backfired.
