This makes no sense to me???

Why would a guy from TEXAS that got playing time at an FBS school leave to play for a D2 school in ice cold parts of Michigan?? I would maybe understand if he was tranferring to Abilene Christian or West Texas A&M, but I can't make any sense out of that move.

Northern Michigan is a D2 school not even an FCS school... and as far as I know they don't offer anything special when it comes to academics.
 
He wants to play right away. He quite on DC...maybe he didn't like DC and staff, and it was too late to rejoin? I don't know. Pure speculation.

He could play right away at any FCS school too. I would imagine that most D2 Texas schools and many FCS schools would have welcomed him to play as well.

Just seems like an odd landing spot.
 
betcha he's kicking himself with DC being gone and a really good coach in Bohl coming in, oh well, his loss
