I hope Christensen takes note and tells the team that a lot of sports writers have penciled in a loss on Friday for Cowboys.

Aaarrrgggh!

That's another writer than has Wyoming going to the Humanitarian. I'm hoping these writers DON'T have any insight. I don't want to travel to Boise. That would have to be some serious insider work there of course it might make sense. UW probably has close to the same crowd in Boise as Albequerque...maybe even more. Idaho fans will fill the rest of the stadium. That leaves Fresno St in Albequerque with their 1,000 fans and no hope Wyoming will bring 35,000. UCLA can bring a lot more fans than UW. It might be worth it to the New Mexico Bowl to work a deal to NOT take Wyoming. The Whores in Boise won't have problems filling the stadium either way, plus Idaho has a much better shot at beating Wyoming than UCLA so why not make the trade. Hope not....I REALLY DON'T want to go to Boise in December...or any time for that matter.
 
I'm not sure why people still think Humanitarian. We're going to New Mexico. Its pretty much a done deal at this point. They'd have to work out some weird deal on the side for Wyoming to go to Idaho.
 
correct. Done deal. If we beat CSU we are going to New Mex. It is a city in the conf and next in line.

TCU = BCS
BYU/Utah = Vegas
BYU/Utah = Poinsettia
Air Force = Armed Forces
Wyoming = NM
No one = Humanitarian

the conf NEEDS Wyo to win. Only 4 teams in the whole conf will be bowl eligible. That means only 4 teams finished .500. That's pathetic for the MWC.
 
Actaully, if Wyo wins, 5 of the 9 teams are bowl eligible (TCU, Utards, BY'nerU, AFA, Wyo).

Weird deals always happen with bowls. I know what the picking order is in the MWC for bowls. However, there are numerous sports writers than have Wyoming going to Boise instead. Very likely that they are all just retarded like most media types. However, there is a chance they have been hearing possibilities for deals that send Wyo to Boise. With 6 slots and only 5 teams, maybe the bowl is given the option to pass on a MWC team. Lets face it, Poke fans are not jumping for joy that this team is 500 and Albequerque is definately not Vegas where we could only get 18k to go anyway.
 
yeah, that's why I was saying the conf needs Wyo to win or there will only be 4.

I would prefer Boise. Besides a closer drive, the game is on Dec 30 which a weeknight game. NW Bowl is the Sat before Christmas. I don't like that thinking. I would like to see Boise bowl personally.
 
I'd much rather be in the NM Bowl. Its a closer drive for me, warm weather, good food.

Pirate, you sure we got 18k to the Vegas Bowl? That is a HUGE number. A lot of BCS teams don't travel that well.
 
I couldn't remember if it was 12k or 18k. I thought we had 12k in 1996 for the WAC championship game so figured the 18k must have been Vegas (I'm pretty sure but not positive). In know it was an ungodly number compared to home attendance. I could see 5 to 8 k attending a bowl game this season.
 
....am I alone in wanting the bowl in Boise? :) Just because it's an 7 hour drive for me, rather than uhhh.. watching on TV. ;)
 
I'm planning on going anywhere if we make it. I went to the last game we played in boise with some friends and actually had a great time in that city so i'm not anti boise. Will probably fly though. I remember that drive being brutal.
 
I am with many of you. ABQ or Boise. Either is fine with me. Boise is a 5 hour drive. ABQ is about 12. But flights from SLC to ABQ aren't too bad. I would prefer to go after Christmas, but any time will do.

Let's just hope DC has them ready vs CSU. This game is not a gimme by any means. This determines a successful season for them if they beat us and keep us from a bowl game. I may not have radio access over the weekend. I will be at the Gorge fishing. Will anyone be watching it where they could send me text updates? I am not kidding by the way.... :)
