I work at an Ad Agency in SLC and this is funny to me. I see these stunts all the time. I guarantee you that Provo Herald and Casper Star Tribune made a pact to get people to their Facebook page and leveraged the animosity to do it.
This is a PR stunt by Provo Herald and Star Tribune. At the end of the day, people get emotional and will conform to the request (like me), when in reality, neither paper cares one crap about this "bet", but more about getting people to "Like" their page and get more people seeing their feeds on Facebook. They are receiving free "leads" with every click.
Click away, but to this day, I am still baffled at how many BYU posts still make their way on here. BYU is dead to me now. Let's click on the Like page, but then let BYU please die a quick death.
