My Top Candidates to replace Sawful
1. Nick Rolovich - Cal AHC/QBs + Former MW HC
2. Zach Lujan - New Mexico AHC/WR + Young offensive coach
3. Brennan Marion - Colorado OC/QBs + former UNLV
4. Brent Vigen - Montana State + proven FCS HC
5. Tim Plough - UC Davis HC + Successful FCS HC + offensive
6. Dan Jackson - South Dakota State HC
7. Thomas Ford Jr. - Idaho HC + Young

I think Vigen would be a good choice. He's crushed it up in Bozeman and he knows the WYO culture, such as it is. Not sure if he'd be interested but it might be worth a try.

I’ll throw another name out there. Marcus Arroyo. Knows the league, has an exciting offensive game and did start the rise at UNLV. I know their fans would never give him that credit, but much of Odom’s success was with Arroyo’s recruits.

I suggested Arroyo when the rumbling really got going to fire Bohl in his last couple of seasons.

I got absolutely crucified by this board for it.

But he's a great offensive mind, an outstanding recruiter, had some success at the P4 level, and a lot of the eventual issues at his P4 stops weren't really on him. And yea, his recruiting really helped support what Odom later did at UNLV, and I think people forget what a historically, consistently bad program he was tasked with fixing with almost no support.

Plus I think folks tend to forget he's the one who recruited and developed Brett Smith, who was often the lone bright spot in an otherwise disastrous DC tenure and is arguably the 2nd or third best QB Wyoming has had..
