Can you imagine a team with Bohl as HC and BobStitt as OC?

Make it happen, Burman and Bohl. We would be a force to be reckoned with. Open receivers to throw to, plays that makes sense for the down and distance, not knowing exactly what’s coming? A guy can dream
 
Hiring a HC as an OC?

Unless Stitt is fired, don't count on it. What's more, Bohl likes the more pro-style ground and pound offense. Stitt is spread. That's a clash of cultures right there.

Stitt is a former HC, Texas St has him as their OC, why couldn't we of we wanted!?

My bad. Thought Stitt was their HC.

Still, Bohl wants ground and pound. Stitt is spread offense and likes to toss it around a lot.
 
When bohl got hired, I wanted Stitt so I clearly am a fan. That said, there is no way those two could gel together. The offensive philosophies couldn’t be any more different. I can’t recall Stitt ever even using a fullback or a 2 tight end set while he was at Mines. Rarely was the Mines team not running a no huddle. Rarely did the Mines team use more than half of the play clock. Stitt’s offense evolved from a necessity because Mines could not recruit the size and speed of other teams (but all the players were very smart and the receivers ran precise routes). I thought Stitt would be a good fit because Wyoming for many years struggled recruiting size and speed. That appears to no longer be the case.

Now there are some Stitt plays that I would love to see the team take advantage of. These are the fly sweep and the shovel pass. I love these plays because they are incomplete passes if dropped and they prevent the opposing defense from simply pinning back their ears and going after the QB.

Overall, I am really happy where the Wyoming program is at. The team is as athletic as I’ve ever seen. The line is no longer undersized. We don’t need to put up 35 points a game to win.
 
Problem with Stitt's offense that got exposed at Montana is the lack of formations.. the only thing that really changed was the route trees, but the offense's simplicity didn't really fool defensive coordinators. Bad defenses with bad DCs usually got blasted, but when you ran into a better DC the wheels came off in a hurry.

No I cannot. I do not believe Coach Bohl would hire a spread offence guy based on how Coach Bohl has described his philosophy of football since the day he was hired.
 
Stitt's style is not a match in Laramie or a match with Bohl's ideal system... this would never work and won't ever happen, nor do I want it too

In all but 2016 and 2014 we ran fewer plays than opponents too. If we are trying to have a ball control offense we are failing.

2016 is the big outlier. We possessed the ball well enough and ran way more plays than opponents. 2016 was the only year we had a functional passing attack.

Just because an offense has a functional passing game doesn't mean that it necessarily sacrifices TOP.
