Can Pokes hang with Boise...

or Fresno. We are a beat up, young overachieving team. I think we get humbled these last 2 weeks. I got 31-10 Boise.

You are correct that they are young overachievers. Several come from behind victories. So I can’t predict a win this week but I won’t predict a loss either. These guys have a way of surprising us.
 
I'm pulling hard for them but I'm not too optimistic. My guess is a game that has a close score outcome but doesn't feel that close.
 
The only games I saw Boise on TV his year were Air Force and CSU. Cannot say they looked unbeatable but our pass defense and rush needs to make some plays to pull this one out.
 
This will likely be one of the weakest bsu teams we'll see for the next few years. Bohl has a knack for keeping it close against them. I'm excited for this game. We'll see just how good this young team is. POKES have grown a lot this year; the boys deserve a big win.
 
I'm unsure really what I think. If they play like they did against the sheeep we'll get massacred. Injuries scare me too. I hope I'm wrong but the Ponies will be too much for us, but we keep it interesting for a bit. (sorry) BSU 31 UW 24...hope Im wrong....(I'm gonna be there like usual, just in case, all signs point to a similar game 6 years ago in 16)
 
We can hang with Boise. They aren't unbeatable, having lost 3 times this year. Our guys know how to win, we've won close games this year, and luckily this one is on our home field. Remember last year or a couple years back we barely lost at Boise. Play our game, no stupid penalties or turnovers, and we have a shot.

You are correct, the path to a win, or the path to "hanging" with Boise, has us playing within ourselves with no penalties, turnovers, etc. The problem is that BSU is a decided step up in quality from teams like CSU....teams that we did not look a lot better than despite coming out in the win column consistently. I would say that, in general Bohl has shown this team the path to a good record and they are doing it. It will take more than just that to win or be in a position to win late in the game tomorrow.

They WERE one of the weakest in last few years. Not anymore. They run the ball well and the new QB has them firing. They didn’t look good ever with Bachmeier. The weather could even things up a little.

“Top 25”, works to Poke favor when we knock them off tonight.
 
We're pretty banged up, but I don't think Boise is an impossible task. Like a few other have said, Bohl usually schemes pretty well for the donkeys. Need to contain Holani and keep them honest with their new QB. He can sling it and is a dangerous runner. Need to scheme around a spy on him at all times, because if the pocket breaks down he can be slippery...that's burned us quite a bit this year.

I wouldn't read too much into the flat performance last week against the sheep, weird things happen in rivalry games, especially when one team is really bad.

Not gonna make a prediction, but will be at the War tonight.

I guess the answer is..Yes, we can hang with Boise...I really didn't think we would. BSU has been playing very well lately and as bad as our offense is, we were thisclose to pulling of the win.
