Can’t let Linder get away!

Lammies feeling desparate? Or was this deal smart for both sides?

Wonder if this is how Nedved assured the Lammies he would leave them in good hands, with some free $$$$. Bump up his salary, extend the contract life, and put a big buy out in place for when xxxxxxxxx comes calling in a week or so.

I would feel a lot better if there was news LInders was signed. I’ll give Parker credit - he at least had a contract in front of Niko. Hope Burman gets something done soon.

Pretty sure if a bigger school wants Niko they’ll ante up the money.

Bigger schools will absolutely pony up the cash, if they think Nedved is their guy. And that is the spin. If he stays = hero status in fort fart. If he gets bought out = thanks for the parting gift (buyout $$), and please schedule our teams in the near future (a page out of McElwain's book). Win - Win.

I think Linder has said he won’t discuss his contract until after the season is over, probably why we haven’t heard anything.

If CSU kept Medved there's ZERO reason we can't keep Linder for a few more years

Actually, there are some big schools looking for coaches who have somewhere between $3,000,000 to $5,000,000 reasons we won't keep Linder - period.

Here's a list of open jobs and I'm pretty sure Linder is on one of more of the lists to interview:

Disappointing, but I think you are right.

We should be able to get Linder's contract up around a million a year, at least. We had 15 home games. Attendance probably increased by about 2500 this season. If people are paying 20 dollars a seat, that's 750,000 in extra revenue this year compared to last. Linder's guaranteed money with bonuses is right around 500,000(base salary of 250,000). We won't be able to match what big schools are paying, but just with the extra ticket revenue, we can give him a pretty big raise. That's without the boosters stepping up and chipping in.

I think we should pay him top of the league money and try to hold onto him as long as possible. That probably requires the extra ticket revenue plus a sugar daddy or 2.

Out of all of those schools with job openings most of them are not as good of a job as Wyoming or at best a lateral move.

Of the very few bigger ones, most won’t be looking at Linder because of location or because they need a big name splash to get their fans riled up.

The only 1 that would be realistic to me would be Kansas St if they wanted him. Missouri could be another one only because their media put out his name. Other than that I wouldn’t be too worried about it for this year.

1st it was the transfer portal, now poaching coaching....I'm a poet and don't know it...lol

Burman get er done

I wonder if Kansas State will try to bring Frank Martin back due to his prior success. stymeman, there is nothing I like about the transfer portal and poaching coaching ... but I am too old school

LInders salary is lowest in MW - considerably lower.

Here is the list of MW mbb coaches salaries.

His base compensation is actually about $500k. Lazy, lazy reporting by Lytle on that list.

Don’t get me wrong, it is still at the bottom, but it’s not an accurate number. Linder’s contract can be found if you Google it.

Do you think his salary at UW is going to keep him if a K Sate or Missouri come calling offering him $1.5 mm? I don’t. He is the lowest paid in the MW.

No, he gone. That and it would likely be a 5 years 10 million dollar contract to start.

Not a chance. Plus, It would probably be $2M+ as Peachy noted.

That wasn’t my point. I just hate how the CSU beat writer used incorrect information that makes us look like we pay Big Sky salaries.

Good news indeed. My son in law just sent me this.

🤞

Kansas St hired the top Baylor assistant today so no more jobs for Linder to take.

So time to get that contract extension set up and recruit some guys that can give us a deep bench.
