We just got a commit, he is fast and can jump. He played both wr and rb. Some wildcat. Bottom line, dude is fast.

I'm really hoping to see some big offensive lineman juco's I think that is half the battle is having that dominant offensive line that makes your skill positions look good

Welcome, Cameron. Super athletic. Could be a real weapon - we need one. Very little separation created by the WRs this year

Anyone think we'll see another JUCO QB this offseason? Or do any of you believe Bohl and Co. have Josh's replacement on the team already?

I'll tell you after I see Vanderwall in the spring game

I think he's the one wild card. I have heard he's more in the vein of Brett Smith but that he could be special. I sure hope so. Nick Smith really soured my expectations next year.

Sean Chambers is likely the future at qb( had an offer from Rutgers). I think he will redshirt next year as that seems to be Bohl's philosophy.

Is he coming as a QB? I thought I saw somewhere he was coming as an ATH or WR... He could be legit as well.

EDIT: I looked him up, looks like he did commit as QB. He could be shake some stuff up too.

We've got some promising young QBs. What would be the ideal situation is if Vigen gets "promoted" to coach-in-waiting and is the QB guru that he is thought to be and someone else comes in as the new OC and is the architect of the offense. We can't keep doing what we've been doing on offense.

note: I think Vigen would be a good head coach. He's got the personality, charisma, etc.. just not the football mind to do it. Kind of like Craig Bohl. Needs to be surrounded by bright and capable assistants

If he were a top-of-the-pack offensive lineman I would be more excited. Or if the news were that Vigen and Fuchs got canned.

I'd say Tanner Lee from Nebraska if Vanderwaal isn't the answer. Don't see him sticking around with Mike Riley gone.

Should make for an interesting QB competition come Spring/Summer. Van Der Waal I believe was under recruited and a steal from Ball State and Chambers could be a stud.

I like what I have heard about Van Der Waal but Chambers looks legit. I wasnt thinking he was coming as a QB but now that I see that he is, he could be a game changer. He looks really good too.

You can never have too many QBs on roster (learned the hard way this year). I thought Donalton was coming as an athlete too and that can change but either way we have 3 very athletic, mobile QBs.

It’s too bad the OK kid didn’t stick around. He would have seen live game reps after his redshirt year and maybe starting as a sophomore.

In reality it's more like 80 % of the battle. Games are won in the trenches bottom line.

Barring the two Freshmen starters, our line was all in the 300lbs area.

Size is half the equation though. I remember in high school one of our best offensive lineman was one of the smaller guys on the line. But he had fantastic technique and speed. I think my comment was directed more toward the need for game ready size and talent. Any offensive line that is anchored by a true freshman at the center position is a red flag. Freshman offensive lineman should redshirt ideally and then step in as redshirt freshman if needed. The game is so much faster then what they are used to in high school and the size differential of a d1 weightlifting program is huge. I think as much of a problem as our skill positions were that the offensive line was a major disapointment and it starts with having to start freshman at two positions. We had a big crop of offensive lineman in last years recruiting class that looked promising that hopefully are ready to be major contributors but would love to see some older kids on our line in coming season.
