Also not sure how much longer we can keep James on the bench to start games. Tonight the starters got us in huge holes to start both halves before JJ came in and bailed us out, but was too much to overcome. I think by the time he came in in the second half we were down 20. We cut the lead all the way down to 5, but can't keep digging these massive holes. Something's gotta get changed in the rotation. Sure would've liked to seen more of Adams.

The stupid announcers on the Pac12 Network never said why James got called for a technical. What happened?

3 bizarre technicals for the cowboys plus the free throw line violation resulted in too many points to make up on the road, hats off to your team which stayed together with positive energy throughout the game & relentelssly competed

hayden dalton is not 6'8" 185 lbs, he's around 170 lbs tops but he's a difference maker, kid is fearless & will be an all league player before he graduates/departs from laramie

good luck to the cowboys the rest of the season, your squad has the respect of cal fans

I didn't get to watch or listen....

Who got the techs?

Looking at the stats everyone, but JJ, Dalton and Herndon should have stayed on the bus.

Why Adams only 2 min? Did he get hurt again or something?

And JMac 1-7 on three and 1-4 FTs? wtf is that?

Edwards got a T early in the game. Probably arguing fouls. Kelley got a T for having a differnt jersey number vs what was reported on paper. JJ got a T in the final minute...but not sure why?

You're right. Other than JJ, Dalton and Herndon, the rest of the guys didn't show up. Adams played for a couple minutes right before half. Had a chance to score, but barely missed the buzzer on a lay-up. He might not be 100% yet. Edwards did the right thing by limiting his line-up in the 2nd half to only those who could contribute on the scoring end.

I didn't listen or watch the game, but after reading this thread I'm wondering where was Naughton? Not one mention of him. I thought he was going to be a force in the middle this year.

I watched the first half on TV. I'm no expert, but the team just didn't pass the eye test - they just don't look very good on the court. Super skinny, and a lot of forcing the ball around.

The technical for having a jersey that didn't match the roster given to the scorekeeper is just clown-car stupid. I have never seen that kind of thing before. It's like when Koenning's football teams started getting called for having too many players on the field, or just getting abused when there weren't enough. It makes me question the coaches.

I think most of us got really excited about Naughton after he absolutely destroyed Western St to start the season. However since that game he's been really really really quiet, if not downright invisible most games. I actually wouldn't mind seeing him on the floor with the JJ, Jmac, Herndon, Dalton lineup. Would give us more size and we'd still have "shooters" on the floor. I use the term "shooters" loosely because we're near the bottom of the country in 3 point percentage right now.

Seems like Edwards wants to have 5 guys that can shoot from the perimeter on the floor as much as possible, although it's not really working right now because no one can the throw the ball in the ocean the last couple games. Naughton seems to play with only the starting unit, and then leaves the game once JJ and Dalton come in and never sees the floor again. I'd really like to see Naughton get a chance with that other unit because the first unit is really handicapped by a lack of athleticism on the perimeter.

You missed a great comeback where JJ was the best player on the court. Defensively, I thought we looked pretty good. Not making shots is what killed us. Both Herndon and Dalton looked good too against a pretty talented Cal team on the road. We lost by 10, but it was closer than that IMO.

because the ball motion is horrible. There's no scheme or rhythm to the motion. Everybody seems to be struggling to get the ball passed off and nobody gets open and nobody gets a screen for a shot. Notice the comeback at Cal was because of the switch to driving to the hoop.

as I haven't seen anything only hearing it all on the radio, i'll give you all my take(oh goodie) when I see them live for my 1st time against UNI this Saturday
