We've been talking conference realignment all summer in this forum. This statement is going to address something to do with the Big-12.

Okie State is OU's puppy. If OU says "bark!", Okie State barks. It's pathetic. Okie State would be better off in a conference like the MWC but state politics prevents it plus Boone Pickens will bitch like a BYU fag if Okie State were to go a seperate route from OU.

I just hope Thompson is on the horn with Texas Tech and the Kansas Schools. What do we think about Oklahoma State? I've been of the opinion that they're tied at the hip with OU, but would they like to step out of Big Brother's shadow and be a big fish in a smaller pond?

Who knows, but the next few weeks will be where Thompson earns his paycheck, IMO. This could be a stellar opportunity to cement the MWC's strength as a conference.
