BYU spanking the Donks.

Why? Defense.

The more I watch college football the more I'm convinced of defense. Defense keeps any team in any game. I will sacrifice 35+ points per game for a frickin win any day.
 
I don't think it is that simple. DC wouldn't go from being the head man to oc at wyo when any team in the country would want him as their oc.
 
No doubt defense can keep any team in the game, same with any sport.
Same reason why our hoops team was in almost every game they played last season.

The goal is to out-score people. If you don't let them score very much you have an easier chance of outscoring them.
Same way good offenses can keep teams in it. Your D may suck but if you can put up tons of points against anyone you play (Oregon State Beavers) then you can win a lot of games.

When we had Glenn our D kept us in a lot of games, we just didn't have the offense to keep up.
Now we CAN score at will (doesn't mean we consistently do it) and if you put up lots of points then it is hard to be outscored. Even with a shitty defense.

Another reason Wyoming better win the MTN division this season.
We can't beat them when they are healthy, so we better frickin do it when they are down or it will never happen.

That's a negative comment if I have ever seen one - and from the Beav too. :o I'm one of those sunshine pumpers that thinks we will get back on top with or without BS in the conference.

Well if they are going to do it, this is the season.
 
Since 99 we have only had 3 seasons with a winning conference record, 14 years 3 winning seasons........

2009 we we're 4-4 that isn't a winning record that is 50% ties don't count.

Didn't realize you meant conference record. Been pretty out of it today.
 
Ya I started looking at it since we only have conference games left and we usually get to Bowls because we win OOC and lose conference what exactly the season holds for us by past experience we don't have a good finish maybe this year they can turn that around.
