The music is still played for possible recruits not fans. That means what ever is popular is what you will hear and hate to say it but Panteras popularity died out a long ass time ago.

Same thing happens up here.. we get all this Lil Wayne and Usher nonsense. This is what the Griz run out of the tunnel to.. not the whole song, once they hit the field the band takes over.

Don't bring logic into this, dammit!

To be fair, the one thing that makes recruits excited more than anything else is to see a program that has fun and WINS.

If the crowd is pumped up the music is doing it's job, You aren't going to see a pumped up football crowd playing panetera. You might see a pumped up small section of people but you have to get the crowd into the game.

Besides you know as well as I do every generation goes through this. I would be perfectly fine hearing the same music now that I heard for all the games in the 80's and 90's I went to. But the music they played in the 80's and 90's was popular for that generation!

Yea that music is shit.
And I dont believe for a second that metal doesn't get everyone pumped up if played at the right time. Just look at VT. I watched them on ESPN a couple weeks ago and the whole crowd went apeshit every time Metallica came on. EVERY player they showed was shouting along with it. Take that no rhyme having gangsta shit and throw it in the trash. Wow firefox recognizes gangsta as an actual word.

Metallica hasn't been metal since before the Black Album they are just as mainstream as everyone else.
