BSU is in!!

ESPN just reported live that BSU is officially in the MWC! I guess that's why everyone was talking about a MWC press conference at 1130

Nothing on either site (ESPN or FOX) at this time...but I understand it to be a done deal as well. I sure hope that the Hair knows what the F#@k he is doing, this could backfire big-time.

Good to know that we can welcome Boise to the MWC with a pounding on the night of 9/18. Imagine how tough every WAC team is going to play them next year?!?!?
 
Agreed. Good move by the MWC. However, this may get me fried by you guys, but I think the MWC should chase the Kansas schools too. Bring 'em in.. football wouldn't greatly improve (it would some), but basketball sure would. That'd give us 12 and life would be good. We'd keep up with the big conferences.
 
I agree about chasing the Kansas schools. I don't see them going East, and they got to go somewhere (depending on what aTm does, as I understand it.)
 
A lot is riding on aTm right now. Too much for my tastes, but nothing I can do about it.

The only drawback I see to adding the Kansas schools, is if they beat the Cowboys at anything, I'll never hear the end of it from a cousin of mine. And he's the kind of kid that has that sort of attitude that WILL get him beaten up one of these days. Almost happened at the family reuniuon, but that is a different story.
 
Like I said, from what I'm hearing down here in Kansas, KU and KSU are watching what the BIG 12 does, but are interested in the MWC if their conference falls apart.

And going by what I have read on the MWC board, the Big 12 South is gone. Only question is where does aTm go, as they are eyeballing the SEC.
 
A&M has been terrible. They wouldn't hold TCU's jock. The SEC would be stupid to add them. They are only valuable as a package deal with the other Texas and Oklahoma schools. A&M is wishing. They will follow their daddy UT to Pac-God.
 
Good move MWC. Now go get the Kansas schools. Maybe when they actually start scheduling them our basketball team will have a new coach so we wont get beaten by 200 points :thumb:
 
Great to FINALLY be a member of the Mountain West Conference!

Thanks to all the universities of this conference for asking Boise State to join.

Is there any chance that "the MTN" could broadcast the Wyo-BSU games in black-and-white?
Not to disrespect the BSU team, but that orange color is really awful.
