Brown and Gold All Access 9-6-09

Baend and Rob Rathbun are hosting the show. Brett is AWOL again this week. They're going to talk to Eric Schmolt (sp?) from the Casper Star, Gagliardi from WTE, and one other person.

Most have agreed the game was more of a 35-14 game. They're in agreement that the team is infinitely better than last year. WRs didn't drop any balls, and the ball only put on the turf once on a DB carrying the ball. Talking about DC losing his trust in the kicking game.

Gags is glad to see John Fletcher back to his sophomore form. Does not like the yellow jerseys.

Beat writer from the Casper Star is on now. Christensen intended to play both QBs, and will probably do so against Texas next week. Eric thinks the QBs were pretty even, no clear starter. Offense gets a B, Defense gets a B as well.

Talking about the kicking game being.... bad. Scott can't kick the ball deep, McCoy's only good from about 40. Wondering why DC didn't go out and find a reliable kicker.

Baend going off about the BCS because as Eric put it, it's a cycle that'll never end because they just keep signing extensions. Kind of beating a dead horse here.

Baend making a point that if the Cowboys are winning, don't walk out in the 4th quarter. If we're down by 35, fine. If we're winning, stay and support the team until the end.

I've never understood people leaving early. Yesterday i was one of the last leaving the stadium. A few of my friends split in the fourth quarter. I said to them "hey your missing $7 worth of entertainment. Why did you buy a ticket if your going to leave early?" I guess driving around Laramie with the traffic annoyed them...

Rathbun talking about how the Longhorns are people too. They put their pants on one leg at a time, bleed if you smack them, and they are not superman. Kind of making a point that Texas can be beaten.
