He is not better than Ryan Yarborough or Marcus Harris so no.
How so? He will own every rushing record at UW after next season. Personally I would say he is on his way to being the best ever.
Those two were All Americans and Harris won the Biletnikof Award.

When Hill is a consensus All-American I will consider him as one of the best ever until then stick with this short list and a few select others.

Wyoming Consensus All-Americans:

1997 Brian Lee, Free Safety
1996 Marcus Harris, Wide Receiver
1984 Jay Novacek, Tight End

Those players gained that accolade in a time when Money wasn't the only thing that mattered in college football. I'm willing to bet money you won't see an All-American come from Wyoming football in the next 10 years.

You can't compare such drastic differences to determine who is better. From a statistical stand point Hill will be the best back to ever play at UW unless he leaves early.

Agree Hill will have good numbers if he doesn't leave early. Dabby Dawson actually had better numbers his junior year than Hill does as a sophomore though if you look it up. Hill ended up with more total rushing yards but he carried the ball almost twice as many times . Dabby had far better yards per carry and more TD"S and his receiving yards were better also. He also played on a way better team which I think helps someone's cause if they want to be considered the best ever not only at his position but considered "best football player ever".

That is only one guy i looked up at one position. You would have to look up guys at different positions stats. If I remember right Harris and Yaborough has some pretty big numbers as sophomores and not only set school records at the time but set national records before they were done playing.

I would also argue that guys like Dabby Dawson, Harris, Yaborough played against far better competition than what Hill is playing against. I would like to see Hill put up some numbers against some good competition. Not taking anything away from him because he is a great back but we will have to see how the next two years play out before i call him the best football player ever at Wyoming.

If he stays two more years and continues on the pace he is on then he will be in the talk for sure as best ever.

I hope he gets less carries going forward though...better for him health wise and would reflect a more balanced offense. Would like either Wick or Overstreet to show improvement and ideally take a 1/3 of the load.

Hills a hell of a back no question about it. Wick when he's healthy, was pretty good, but then again they never gave Wick 30 carries a game. A.A. was good too, to bad he didn't stick around. BTW why won't Bohl ever make Wick available to the press, Isn't he a Captain? He didn't even walk with the seniors. Seems weird....

Unless he gets a medical redshirt....

Some seniors across the nation did not walk on final home game. Those were the ones who had a redshirt (or medical redshirt) that they could use for the next year. Maybe this means Wick will come back?

Wick hasn't been given a redshirt yet the announcers were talking about it during the game that he opted to not take place in senior day in hopes of getting the redshirt.

Not when they were sophomores. Hill is on his way to being considered best ever no doubt about it.

Didn't say I thought Hill isn't one of our best ever, only pointed out why Wicks wrote what he did.

Marcus Harris as a sophomore led the nation in receiving yards. He was 2nd in the nation in receiving touchdowns and top 10 in both yards per catch and total receptions. I would say he had as good of a year as Hill.

Wick will have to apply to the NCAA for a medical waiver to be allowed to return for the 2016 season. Players cannot play in more than 30% of the games in order to be eligible. That would mean no more than 3 games. Wick was injured in the 2nd quarter of the 4th game this year. With that in mind, I think it is highly doubtful that he will be granted another year, BUT it can't hurt to at least try. I hope he beats the odds and get another year if that's what he truly wants. Overall I hope he is healthy and doesn't having any lasting effects down the road; either way, thanks for your years with the Pokes Shaun.

Agreed. Whether he gets it or not, thank you Shaun for your contributions as a Poke!

Shaun Wick was a tremendous player for Wyoming and I enjoyed watching him play. But for his sake, I hope he isn't granted another year and hangs up the cleats. Perhaps if he is granted an additional year, he can act more as a "graduate assistant" than a player.
