OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

BRIAN HILL, WYOMING


Freshman, Running Back, Belleville, IL/Belleville West

Freshman Brian Hill set a school and Mountain West Conference record with 387 all-purpose yards as Wyoming defeated Fresno State, 45-17. Bell rushed for 281 yards and two touchdowns (33 and 66 yards) and added three receptions for 106 yards. With the win, Wyoming improved to 4-5, 2-3 in the MWC.

Notes: Brian Hill is the first Wyoming player to earn Walter Camp National Player of the Week honors (since 2004). Hill is the second Mountain West player this season (Air Force DB Weston Steelhammer, Sept. 28) to be recognized.

Amazing accomplishment. Hopefully he can stay healthy and make it to the bye week intact, he looked physically exhausted last night.

what a stud and hell of a breakout game, where's he been, we can hope he goes big against USU this week...man that was a fun game to watch!
 
Paul Pabst on the Dan Patrick Show gave Hill a shout out for best of the weekend on the show this morning.
 
Something that has been overshadowed by Hill's performance, but needs to be mentioned, is the performance of Tapscott. He looked pretty solid in his first game with more than one carry. Nice compact little back.

Hopefully with Bohl's system in place, we can just plug backs in and see this type of production.
 
I don't think Wyoming will be hurting at the RB position for several years with the RB recruit we have coming in next year and what we already have.
 
Hill Reflects on Record Setting Performance (WYO-VISION)

Freshman Running Back Brian Hill looks back at his 387 yard performance on Saturday night at Fresno State. The effort earned Hill Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week Honors and he was chosen as the Walter Camp National FBS Offensive Player of the Week, the first Wyoming player to receiver that honor.
