It would be a really good pick for them, TBH I don't think he is available in the 4th or 5th round. I think he will go by the 2nd round or 3rd at the latest. For him to go to the Cowboys they would need him to be available in the 5th but I would like to see Smith play behind Romo for 2-3 years.

My call is still the same, Brett Smith is the Kaepernick of the 2014 draft. Small School and conference lack of respect for the player. Problem is Kaepernick was in the combine so he turned some heads there. But I think Smith turned heads at the Pro Day.

Yep...the more this plays, the more it looks like Brett not getting an invite to the combine was blessing in disguise. Lots of arrows pointing down on the shocks of various "top" QBs. Smith is one of the few trending up. I say 3rd round.....2nd if one team in particular likes him a lot.

Considering outside of a bare handful of QBs that were invited to the combine (like Carr), that Brett Smith out performed them, yeah.

And Manziel is not blowing doors off and Bridgewater didn't run or throw at the combine and then stunk it up at his pro day. It seems Bortles and Smith have seen their stock rise of late...

I really just want Brett on the Gruden QB Camp and for Gruden to ask Brett about his first NCAA pass (the backwards pass/fumble thing against Weber St.) and give him shit about it, but then show Brett throw the game winning TD pass.

Brett Talked about that game winning pass as one of his favorite college football memories.

Cowboys signed Weeden today as their 3rd string behind Orton.

Orton has talked about retiring, The sign of Weeden is a needed backup. But Weeden isn't the Cowboys future and now more than ever it makes sense for them to go after a project QB in the late rounds of this draft.

That's assuming Jerry Jones knows what he is doing, and he has shown time and time again, that he doesn't.

Unless he puts a whole bunch of blind faith (deserved or not) into Brett, then Dallas is not a good place for Brett to go to.

He will sit behind Romo until Romo retires, or Brett's rookie contract is up after 3 seasons, then spends the rest of his career as a backup.

If Brett goes to the Broncos I will go crazy! He will have a private workout with Elway watching. This is the true litmus test.

At least McShay doesn't like him. He's got about a .100 record for predicted the future of NFL qb's. I would be worried if he did like him. Here's the thoughts of the newest ESPN draft expert, that's never been an NFL scout or talent evaluator, and rose to his position at ESPN from a job with Scout.com.

Seems like even Houston fans (Texans forum) are warming up to him.

And people are now realizing he put up the numbers he did with an abomination of an o-line and little help otherwise, especially from the coaches (like no adjustments).
