Considering outside of a bare handful of QBs that were invited to the combine (like Carr), that Brett Smith out performed them, yeah.Wyo2dal said:It would be a really good pick for them, TBH I don't think he is available in the 4th or 5th round. I think he will go by the 2nd round or 3rd at the latest. For him to go to the Cowboys they would need him to be available in the 5th but I would like to see Smith play behind Romo for 2-3 years.
My call is still the same, Brett Smith is the Kaepernick of the 2014 draft. Small School and conference lack of respect for the player. Problem is Kaepernick was in the combine so he turned some heads there. But I think Smith turned heads at the Pro Day.
And Manziel is not blowing doors off and Bridgewater didn't run or throw at the combine and then stunk it up at his pro day. It seems Bortles and Smith have seen their stock rise of late...fromolwyoming said:Considering outside of a bare handful of QBs that were invited to the combine (like Carr), that Brett Smith out performed them, yeah.Wyo2dal said:It would be a really good pick for them, TBH I don't think he is available in the 4th or 5th round. Orton has talked about retiring, The sign of Weeden is a needed backup. But Weeden isn't the Cowboys future and now more than ever it makes sense for them to go after a project QB in the late rounds of this draft.
