Brett Smith Question

Switching to a power run scheme both smith and thompson will transfer.
That's a hell of an over reaction. Beaver, who is in contact with them, has already asked and confirmed that both are staying.

I'm not saying he'll be the next Eaton or Roach or anything, but he does have experience in FBS and has throttled the FCS the last couple of years. Glenn had never been in the FBS, but Bohl has. Give him a chance at least before you throw him under the bus.

Why would two qbs whos skill set is geared for passing or running a spread stick around in a run oriented offense? They will do whats best for themselves not whats best for the fans. And whats best for them is to do what darden did. Transfer to a team that highlights his skills in hopes of making it to the next level. Beaver poke hears exactly what they want him to hear. They arent going to tell him they are leaving. You guys are pushing yyur own hopes onto what they will do not on whats best for the players.

Bullshit Mr. Kownitall. Brett is a Cowboy unlike you.
Been a cowboy far longer than you or smith. But keep cheering us on to mediocrity. The good enough crowd wins again

You have no idea, so weak, just like YOU!

Sure bra. You got me. I want my team to win with the best possible coach and the best possible players. That makes me a shitty fan! Where as you celebrate mediocrity! You are the typical cowboy fan congrats.

On them transfering? No. I would transfer if I were them. If I was a passing qb I wouldnt stick with a coach that didnt recruit me and wasnt going to use my skills

I'm reserving much of my judgement until after we know for sure its Bohl. When it is confirmed, I will still wait until we find out who the OC/DC are going to be.

I hope he doesn't hire Christensen as OC.

Again you have no idea, Mr. kwoewitall, were I Do! Good times are a coming. So how is your new team to root for? Weak link!

Perhaps you should quit drinking

Call me crazy but hoping he gets an I coordinator who runs the spread. This offense is fun to watch when clicking

Why would Brett an Thompson leave? Just because Bohl ran a power scheme doesnt mean we can't utilize spread elements also. This is a fantastic opportunity for Brett to be in a more traditional pro style offense. Along with Bretts running ability this will showcase him in a different way. Great players can adapt and play in any offense. Just imagine Brett using the play action pass to rip teams apart.

@ScottNulph: RT @Jimrosehuskers: Bohl's deal at Wyo is easily 1.5-2M per. He negotiated private aircraft and asst staff salaries that dwarf predecessor

BOOM!!!! That is one reason right there!!! HR poke quit being a little sissy and get behind your team. You're as big if a Wyoming fan as anyone. You're acting like a child.

damn! if this is true, I like where this is headed. We need more money for assistance coaches and coordinators. Maybe we can get a better WHOLE staff instead of a huge contract HC and food stamp level assistants. I cannot say I like Burman, but I like what i'm seeing with this situation. Could turn out great or could really suck. Only time will tell. On a side note, wasnt the deal breaker with Tiller that he wanted private plane rights and the university said no? I wonder why now...

I have never not been behind our team. I just dont think this is whats best for our team due to past performance by a similar coach.

Besides, Tedford runs the pro set as well. Either way, we would have been going through a transition in offense.

I get it. But come on man. Totally different situation. And a guy that clearly will be able to gauge talent which was Glenn's downfall. Plus, Glenn just turned out to be too nice of a guy. Except when he flipped off Utah. Lol. Love that.

I'm guessing there is a big donor who is fed up with the losing.
He probably said "Fuck it, I don't need this extra money, here Burman you can have it, IF...you hook the coach up."

Will he be able to guage talent? His recruiting at nebraska was just going to the prison yard.
