Brett Hundley Jr....

...to stay in school. His daddy says that he enjoys being a college student and the opportunity for professional football isn't going away. Wants to get his degree first. Hmmmmmmm......a little different than that one kid's dad huh??

Seriously

Peace

Who said Brett won't be getting his degree? He enrolled early at UW...could conceivably graduate in May.

Good question. Is he still in school???. Would be difficult right now as he'd be graduating in three years.

I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Good point...I wonder as well. I know it is pretty tough to work on making the NFL when you are still full time in school.

When would he have time to work with Garcia? That's not a one week deal...not even a one month deal.

I'd bet money that he's not on campus.

Same here.

Brett Smith already has 3 full years of college classes (plus at least two summer semesters). I don't believe he has graduated yet, but he may be close enough where a few online classes may be sufficient to get his degree.

Credits are easier to come by this day and age. Hell, you can get an MBA from Colorado State without ever stepping foot in Fort Collins.

That is probably his route then - online. Makes sense.

Brett has already said he has not graduated but will come back at some point to complete it. He made a promise to his dad to graduate and he will but it won't be now

Thing is I'm not sure the game was fun for Brett anymore after the last two years, and thus wasn't enjoying being a college student. Go and do what makes you happy. But yes, can't stand helicopter parents, although his dad stayed quiet with what I'm sure was discontent with DC.

Sure didn't look like he was enjoying it the last 6 games of the season this year!

If you were getting hit by Hawaii nearly every down, depsite putting up conference records, you wouldn't be happy either (unless you're into that sort of thing).

True - but it was more than just Hawaii. Brett look uninspired the last 1/2 of the season. And I put that 100% on DC in case you were wondering.

;)

Not an indictment on him at all BTW. Because of losing, getting hit, he has not enjoyed being a college QB the last two years. Understandable. Might as well get paid to get hit or injured by a bad Cleveland Browns O-line. That plus relatively weak year for QBs in the draft, his injury history, coaching transition, new offense, he made the decision to move on and if he really is drafted in the 2nd round it's a brilliant move as I don't think he would ever be graded 1st round.
