Love the Petrino suggestion...outside the box to the max.

The man can coach.
I would also enjoy Petrino, but I do not think he will want to leave the south east.
Money Talks. Is he makhing over $1.2 mil currently?
he is making 800k base with no incentives.
It is actually 850k base, with potential incentives to take it to upwards of 1.4 mil per year. Compare that to DC having roughly a 190k base, with potential incentives to make 1.2 per year.
is incentives are based on selling 12k season tickets and going to a bcs bowl. He hasn't received either of those. It's 10k for the season tickets and 300k for a bcs bowl
I know, but DC also hasn't received much of his incentives either, he gets a little for ticket sales etc... but he hasn't gotten much of them.

I would have vouched for Petrino before the season.....and maybe still would......but do note his Western Kentucky Hilltoppers have actually regressed this year under him. Not doing all that well at his current non-AQ school.

Dunno about regressed.. the Sun Belt is tough this year. Taggert left and went to a school that may never win football again. Petrino will have success at WKU.. they were a successful FCS program.

I am certain (almost) that he would look at UW as a place he could come in and win right away. He knows that he is a household name, and a proven winner...and given the chance to "Fred Akers" at Wyoming - he would.

UW may have to bump up the assistant salaries (and should) but having Petrino here at UW instantly puts us in the top 4 of the conference next year, given everything remaining constant (player personnel).

Jovon Bouknight maks 66k a year. We can't pay our assistants more than that to lure them away? :willybs:

Problem with turnover, is that you will lose some players. Only questions are, who and how many.

I agree - but can't help and think that players would want to stay and play for Petrino. There may be some dead weight to lose, but that is true (probably) regardless.

and quit sitting on the ball to go into the half, this has bit us more times than I can remember this year and a few times last year as well. I'm kinda starting to not want to watch/listen anymore this year. But Tormey needs to go, I'm in full approval on getting rid of him, but if we do then how bad does it look or work, he'll be gone after season's over!!!
Year 6 for DC will truly be a hot seat one
