Dunno about regressed.. the Sun Belt is tough this year. Taggert left and went to a school that may never win football again. Petrino will have success at WKU.. they were a successful FCS program.
I am certain (almost) that he would look at UW as a place he could come in and win right away. He knows that he is a household name, and a proven winner...and given the chance to "Fred Akers" at Wyoming - he would.
UW may have to bump up the assistant salaries (and should) but having Petrino here at UW instantly puts us in the top 4 of the conference next year, given everything remaining constant (player personnel).
