Our Bowl connections with less attendance than State Championship High School Football in Texas.

The bowl games probably had a better TV rating! HS football in Texas is a religion, and the fans can all drive to the game. Plus half the attendees were probably college scouts. Seriously though, I realize any of the non-big bowl games will always struggle with attendance, but even the numbers they announced and that you posted seem too high. The Potato Bowl stands seemed empty from what I could tell watching on TV. It didn't seem like there were more than a couple thousand in total. It was cold and their was snow in the stands, so I could see why people stayed home. But there wasn't even close to 20 thousand attending.

I've never seen it in Texas. I did see it in Oklahoma.

They do take it very seriously there. I can't even imagine Texas...

Well, now I can. 54000 fans! Wow!
