Boise State Game Thread

It would feel really good if we could get 2 more TD's w/o Boise scoring just so it didn't look like such a beat down.
 
That right there is why Brett Smith is no future NFL QB.....wide open deep man....under throws him badly.

It's games like this that makes me wish we had Hawaii on our schedule this year. UH is just as bad or worse than we are AND they don't have a QB.

I didn't even see the play and that is a low blow you never would have said that last year. Just because the offense sucks and the air has been deflated from the team doesn't mean he isn't a quality QB

He is better than quality.....I'm just saying this talk of him being a Top 3 round draft pick is exaggerated. Really showed a lack of arm strength on that play. Rufran looked upset.
 
Is it just me but besides Brett Smith is their any positives looking to next year, I just can't seem to find ANY.

Actually, according to Dave and Kevin, the last time Wyoming was 0-4 at home was back to 1970, Eaton's last season. Could be breaking a record this year unfortunately.
 
I know many feel the team needs to stay the course with CDC......but I can't help but wonder....what happens to this team when Smith graduates? Newsflash folks: Brett only has 4 games left in his Sophomore. season. He's almost a Junior......The new coach would have a spectacular QB to start his regime with.
 
Contract extension dictates that DC is here for at least two more. Should just get used to it. Can't fire last years MW COY.

Wait...Now he's spectacular? I thought you said he was over exaggerated. Besides J-Rod, it couldn't actually be the cold weather that can affect a QB and a deep ball, could it? I don't care if Rufran looked frustrated.
You want to know what was really frustrating? The Wide outs dropping and fumbling the ball over and over again.

yeah, either way, I'm sure a check will be cut. The question is, how big? Can't imagine he can be punished twice for the same infringement.

Sure he can. This is contract employment, not the criminal justice system. Any drop in revenue, attendance, or donations; any loss of recruits, players, or staff as the season wears on only bolsters UW's case. I'd bet a dollar he announces his resignation sometime before or after the SDSU game, and collects for the '12 season and about 1/4-1/3 of '13.

I'd be fine with smacking him with $300-$400K to move on.

Unfortunately that is not his fault, If you put Brett Smith in as anyones QB that runs the spread he looks 1005 better for draft potential then he does right now.
