Boise St @ UW

Why does Shyatt continue to beat his head against the Lieberman wall?

WW
I don't know what we sees in Lieberman. He can't run fast enough or jump high enough to keep up. I don' t care what IQ you have for the game, if you can't cut it athletically that's just the way it is. He's a crappy shooter, anyway.

Will someone go back and look and see what clowns said Jmac wasn't a D-1 player? So we can ban their stupidity. Wyoming recruits never really mature until their junior season

No shit the guys that said JMAC can't play or should come of the bench are complete dipshits. Come on show yourself morons.

You're probably talking to me. I've never said he isn't a D1 player, go ahead and try to find a quote where I or anyo ne have said that. Yes, he stepped up today and had a good game. I liked that he finished with more authority on his drives. One game isnt going to change my opinion as to what his ceiling is. I think we saw his ceiling today. He's a streaky shooter, has a decent first step and is IMO an average defender who flops a lot (the flopping is a team wide issue so that appears to how our team is coached). If that's our best player we are in trouble, as in not contending for a championship. That's not a knock on JMac, that's a knock to our recruiting. My opinion is, and after today remains that JMac would be a quality 4th banana or 6th man on a MW championship contending team. He deserves a lot of credit for coming as far as he has in his bball career.
I am probably associated in the group too. And you hit the nail right on the head. I love JMac but if we rely on him going forward as our main scorer we may be in trouble. Just as he had a monster game Saturday, he has recently had a couple games where he may have well stayed in the locker room.
I thought he was a 6th man at best before the season started but am more than happy that he has proven me wrong. He stepped up big time against Boise State which was awesome to see. Boise isn't exactly an athletic powerhouse. We would all be talking about how unathletic he is and how he lacks the ability to create his own shot if the game was against SDSU instead of Boise State. He had a good matchup against BSU and took advantage of it.

Yeah, JMac was abusing Drmic all game. Drimic is a shell of his former self. JMac has actually been getting to the rack all year he just struggles to finish sometimes, but a couple times vs. Boise he finished with Webb III guarding or helping which is awesome because Webb III is one of the best shot blockers in the league. Maybe something clicked for JMac when it comes to finishing at the rim

I think he sees Liebs as a young Grabau.

Like an 11th grade Grabau? I don't remember Grabau as being a turnover machine in his sophomore year. I hope he comes around but I'm not counting on it.

That is aside from the turnovers. I'm not sure what his average is, but those 8 against Boise sure did have negative affect on the outcome.

edit. If Liebs didn't have 8 turnovers vs Boise, his assist to turnover rate would be similar to Grabau's as a sophomore. Grabau averaged more points however....and probably played more minutes.
