Boise Fan Attending First Wyoming Game

Hey guys, I just wanted to come over and say a friendly hello and get everyone's advice for a visiting fan attending his first game in Laramie. I am really looking forward to a great game with two very physical well coached teams.

Welcome! Be sure to bring a blanket to the game as well as a warm Almanzas breakfast burrito to keep you warm. Glad to see some Boise St. fans make the trip.

Welcome but remember this is a different Wyo team, stop Brian Hill and you should handle us as usual, I'm ready for us to stand up to the mighty Broncos and have a chance for a change. Hope you enjoy your stay and our fans are cordial to you as well as some of the Blue and Orange that make the trek as well.
GO POKES

Wyoming fans are always good to us, hosted a few at our tailgate back in Boise 3 years ago. Great fans, i'm happy to see you guys back winning games again.

We actually have Corona Village in Boise, its AWESOME and being that I live in Denver now i'd love to have me some tastes from home.

Supposed to be warm, but breezy. Laramie cools off very fast after dark. Yeah you're from the region so you know... Good luck. Here's to a good competitive game.

Oh, get here a early and try to take a tour of campus so you can see what a real one looks like! :D j/k

You guys have a great campus, I work in the energy industry i hear about it quite a bit from my Wyoming alum coworkers.

Just be sure to get there early, otherwise it will be pretty hard to find a spot to park your 18-wheeler ;)

Just kidding, Utah State is Trucker U

Ok good to know, the trucking department is excellent at Boise State. I'll take your joke in stride haha.

I saw this in the Denver Post today, crazy! Although i'd love to see that thing go on I-70 in a Blizzard with ski traffic, now that'd be some technology.

Can't be any more dangerous than all those SUVs with California plates on that very road - a computer would at least theoretically adjust speed to conditions, whereas the California drivers think 4-wheel drive means driving 80 mph downhill on black ice is alright. I'm not a fan of driving Longmont to Grand Junction multiple times every winter pretty much only because of them.

Glad you're level-headed enough to play along :P
As someone who's relocated to Boise after graduating from WYO, I kinda miss being around more rational/ "go with the flow" type fans like yourself. I had no idea Boise fans got so offended at the sound of "smurf turf" before, haha! For the most part, those in the 208 are almost as friendly as those in the 307.
Anyway, I'm enjoying the opportunity to provide some smack talk to my coworkers this week. Of course they're just fans and none are BSU graduates, but when I fill up at the Flying J on Federal Way or when the trash gets picked up I'm sure to engage a little bit with actual BSU alumni.

I'd say most of them are pretty friendly, lots of fans that have jumped on the bandwagon in the last 15 years that give the base a bad name.

My only impression of Boise is from the 1965 book "Boys of Boise". So if you're looking for action, I doubt that you'll find much in Laramie.

You might want to bring a rain coat and hat. I don't think we used all of our urine balloon bombs at the Air Force game :D
