This is a fantastic read. Really drives home how important it is going to be for the cowboys to stay with their assignments and have discipline (which they have not demonstrated the last few years) but hammers home the fact that Bohl knows what he is doing and is the right man for the job. Why the hell is this week taking so damn long?!?!?!MrTitleist said:http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2014/8/26/6005585/craig-bohl-wyoming-north-dakota-state-football-offense-defense

The last time Wyoming had sustained success was when we ran the spread in Tiller's years...It wasn't because we ran the spread, it was because we ran an offense that most teams were unfamiliar with. Very few teams ran an offense like that.
Fast forward ten years. We bring in DC to bring back the spread. The offense was ok but had way too many quick possessions. Wyoming had no sustained success...likely because EVERYONE was running the spread or some variety.
Fast forward five years. We bring in Bohl to bring in the power offense. Will it be successful, we will find out. But more similarly to Tiller's years is that we will be running an offense that teams won't likely be seeing week in and week out or in practice in scrimmages versus their own offense.
"Always"? Roach and Eaton (could have gone to Nebraska with Devaney) stayed until they retired. Tiller wanted to, but didn't get his contract extended after a 10 win season. Glenn probably would have if he had been able to have success. Bohl, I only see him leaving for a handful of jobs, and not until he gets Wyoming up and going, but he has to get there first.Wyo2dal said:We've never had a sustained team. Coaches always leave when they realize that bigger and better is outside of UW.
