Bohl On With SVP/Russillo Today @ 12:30 PM MT

We may not see immediate results, but Bohl is a great ambassador for the state.

That was a great interview.

Why is it that when this guy gives out standard coachspeak I just believe him?

I am the same way. I love how Rustillo asked him if he really felt or what point does he realize he won't win this game vs Oregon and Bohl didn't back down.

DC said similar things, but he wreaked of arrogance and dickheadedness

Any time Wyoming can get some attention on a national scale is a good thing. Bohl was awesome. 10 mins or so of Wyoming chatter. Laramie, the Wy helmets on the ESPN Radio desk, talked about it all. It was very well done.

Here's the link to the ESPN Radio archive: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=11503404" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Some highlights:

- Bohl said he wished SVP could've made it for the AFA game.
-Answered the "why Wyoming?" question same as he always had.
-Phenominal institution, only 4-year school in the state
-Takes a certain type of player to embrace UW, one who will focus on two things: 1. get a meaningful degree; 2. Have a laser-like focus to win the MWC.
-Focus on things you can control (Oregon game)
-"The old adage 'put on your pants one leg at a time.' It's important for us to recognize how we put our pants on, how we prepare, and putting our players in best position for them to be successful."
-On Oregon: "They're prolific, and they deserve the No. 2 rating"
-College football is a crazy game, the ball's not round, and it sometimes takes funny bounces.
-Our guys have prepared well, and we're looking forward to the challenge.

Kids don't start school til the 29th.. Think they skip this weekend?

Doubt it. We (OS) also start the 29th and our student section was fairly packed August 30th against Portland State.
Plus, I think lots of students are making their way back this weekend anyways.
