So with all that being said, I feel more comfortable with Bohl.
Also, why would that reporter guy just tweet that?

Because it's twitter and people can say whatever they want??

The real question is why did you take 1 tweet and run with it, questioning everything surrounding the context of it, instead of questioning it's validity.

"Because it's a message board and I can say whatever I want." Good point, but sometimes taking a step back and letting the dust settle is good too.

Wait, you're getting on me, a FAN on a INTERNET MESSAGE BOARD for jumping the gun, but not the reporter who blatantly lied and/or was wrong?

The internet fan should be held to a higher standard than the reporter whose job it is to report the truth?
Am I the first fan to jump the gun on here? Nope. Have I done it before? Yep.
But I am not the reporter who didn't do his job.
...Or, perhaps you should just learn to hold YOURSELF to a higher standard so you don't end up in the unenviable position of blaming others for stupid sh-t you do...

Lol okay.

I have no regrets about posting this thread. I'm not blaming anyone. That reporter was wrong, that's where I got my info. Simple as that.

Human beings should be held to a higher standard. This is one of the biggest problems with this country is way too many people believe everything they read and react instantly, instead of questioning what they are being presented and using critical thinking.

Yes, the original tweet shouldn't have been posted, but it was a tweet, not the New York Times. I never believe what I read on social media unless I can independently verify it OR see it verified by multiple legitimate sources.

No doubt. Seriously? Don't believe reporters, blame the fans who followed their info. Haha. What a joke.

An internet fan doesn't have a higher standard than a reporter, but a graduate student being trained in how to conduct research has a higher standard than to accept a single tweet made by a fan site host (who didn't cite his source either) as the truth.

Wouldn't have even been a big deal if things weren't so combative after a few people questioned it's validity, or if the initial tone wasn't so sarcastic and snide.

I feel as if this is becoming more and more common in general. Were people always this inclined to their cognitive biases? I mean, just look at an average facebook feed and it's completely full of utter crap with terrible sources (blogs). Whether it's crazy and unrealistic gun control junk from one side, or the other latching on to Obama's sarcastic "My Muslim Faith" comment as if that's confirmation of him being Muslim rather than him making fun of the accusation (biggest whoosh of the century?) when actually talking about his Christian faith.

Move along already.

What a joke. Move along? After an initial tweet filled with sarcasm and giving credibility to a tweet with no substantive information behind it? Grow up.

Says the poster who said the season could be interrupted or not completed at all then predicts 2-3 years of uninterrupted seasons. You are hard to follow DINO.

You're obviously not very smart, in fact, you're a snide and sarcastic dope I'm seeing.

Look it, don't be so stupid nor obtuse to compare my biblical observations rooted in God's word about what will eventually happen...versus someone else here who saw a tweet and then took it as gospel (pun intended).

I have a book, the inspired word of the almighty God, with a roadmap, with hundreds of documented prophecies that have come to life with indisputable proof.

Someday, the CFB season will be the last thing on your agenda list to worry about my friend. It obviously wasn't this past year and I never stated unequivocally it would be - I simply said; 'maybe'.

Your pointing this out was funny the first time, maybe even the second, however, your constant belaboring of the points I made earlier this year has run its course and its now become boring.

Stop being a wise-ass jerk.

Go Pokes.

The statement made was more than just "maybe."
You're far from the first person who's predicted a certain time for it to happen, though, but even Jesus said only the Father knows the time. "But as to that day and the exact time no one knows--not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone." - Jesus Christ

;)

No sir, you are wrong. It was a maybe...I said; "this CFB season may not make it through the season". The rest of your note, however, is right on the mark.

 Umm, sure. Why'd you delete your prophecy or your interpretation of a prophecy? The bible, scientists, and some man I saw holding a sign by the interstate all say the world will end. It is likely the most common prophecy in all of time. When Buddha, Allah, Zeus, God, mother nature, or whomever ends my time, I'm sure I won't care about football, or eating, or drinking, or etc. Speaking of ridiculous comments.

Either way, just admit you were trashed typing ;)

Okay, so you're not a Christian and I am.

There is nothing left to talk about.

Careful with your assumptions, DINO. Just pointing out that end of the world predictions aren't exclusively a biblical thing.

I also never stated that the 'end of the world' was upon us. I was more referring to the start of the tribulation period as detailed in God's Holy Word.

While the end times scenario is not exclusively a 'biblical thing', it is in my opinion, the only legitimate, accurate, and reliable source for all things that fall under this category.

There is no other authority.
