Bohl interview on the first scrimmage....

Cliff notes:
-More athletic on defense; scored twice (May FR and Gafford INT)
-Should be better in 3rd down offense
-Josh Allen's ability to move is good; still a bit green in the pocket
-Hill was limited; only two touches (looked at other guys)
-Kicking game improved
-Austin Conway "did some exceptional things today"; probably the punt returner
-Depth chart will update in a week
-For first scrimmage, a little sloppy
-Forcing turnovers sign of more confidence and more athleticism
-Pleased with Cooper on kickoffs
-Not as many "fly by night, hey I'm just gonna be a gunslinger" throws, but don't want QB to be timid
-Gonna see fewer true freshmen playing
-More focused, no distractions

As long as there's no real regression at QB, those should mean at least 2 more wins this year.
I wonder how we looked on 3rd down defense...

I'm still trying to read between the lines with coach Bohl's comments...and yes I am forever an optimist...but it seems like he is pretty encouraged and he is seeing good things. With that. 6-6. :o
