Bohl in Casper Article

He actually WANTED to go to Casper??? I'm not buying it...but then again he did spend 11 years in Fargo. ;) Just playing Casperites.

at the end of the day, all i care about is W-L. But, in the interim, I truly think Bohl gets it. He has that character of someone who gets the whole picture. Coaching and PR. Joe Glenn was good at one and decent at the other. DC was decent at one and terrible at the other.

I am stoked for WY football. Bohl wont put up with losing. He isnt used to it.

DC would walk around the room like he was Julius Caesar. What a breath of fresh air Bohl is. Hes a good ole boy thats down to earth. Does anybody know if Bohl allows practices to be open for us local folk ?

From what the NDSU folks have been saying, Bohl will more than likely close practices to the public. Pretty much par for the course in D1 FBS football nowadays.

 Spot on there! Anytime that fuck was in public he walked around "hard-blinking" and not making eye contact with any of the peasants in attendance.

Bohl acts aloof if you don't know him, but if you talk to him and actually understand he's a showman and knows how the PR game is played.

So nice to have a coach that can connect with the fans. We all want the same thing; to win football games. It seems like he understands that just because he's running the show doesn't mean that he's better than anyone. In Wyoming we're all the same type of people. Hell, I can't count the number of times that I've run into past and present governors in a department store and they took the time to say hi and listen if I had something I really thought they should hear. It's nice to have that kind of access be an option, and it seems like Coach Bohl gets it.

NDSU supporter, Wyoming follower since the hiring of Coach Bohl. In many regards I don't think you appreciate what you had until its gone.

In the 2 months since the hiring of Coach Bohl, it has become quite noticeable how much Coach Bohl was everywhere in Fargo and the surrounding areas. He was in the news, on TV, radio, charity work. He was the face of the program and had been for a long time. I think we just took it for granted as many thought he would never leave.

I have heard next to nothing from our next coach. It may take time for that to happen, but there is definitely a difference in what you hear about the program and what you hear from the coach.

The reason I say this, is it seems like you in Wyoming at starting to get the initial feel of what Coach will do. Promote the program and get people interested. I don't care what anyone says but I was in at the last games of the Bob Babich era in Fargo, they say NDSU averaged 12,000 that year, but I disagree. Coach Bohl promoted NDSU, and won and as result the stadium in Fargo was full.

Wyoming will get that. I read that the Denver papers have already interviewed him, now the local paper. You will find over time, Coach Bohl is good at self promotion, for him and the team. That alone with winning, will lead to an uptick in your program.

Good luck and enjoy Coach Bohl.

It helped that he got 3% of ticket sales at ndsu 20000 at $25avg =$ 525000 & so $15750 a year extra
Did he get 3% of every ticket, or just after a certain level? If it's all tickets, it's more than 15 grand a year.

I thought it was based on average ticket which was around $25 but Tailgating and Raining bitches in the rainforest was what really peeked interest in bison football...

Yea bout 4-5 years ago we had some amazing "talent" in the rainforest, so I coined it "raining bitches".......The footloose crowd at ndsu said we were having TOO MUCH fun. So they paved paradise and put up a parking lot.... pics are floating around somewhere. .lol
