Good publicity for the program down in Colorado. Hope it continues.

Devyn Harris told his younger brother Drue, who is visiting this weekend, that this staff runs "championship-caliber" practices and that the new staff "really understands the game".

I'm glad they're doing this. My hairdresser's kid is a sophomore in high school here in Longmont and a little bit of an athletic freak for his age (6'4, 280, very mobile). He's making the transition from DL to OL this season and has his heart set on freaking Nebraska because of their old reputation of toughness that is no longer true.

I've been hinting that he should be checking out what Wyoming is doing on the lines now with a new ex-Nebraska coach.

I feel like you should have just stated that as "a kid I know."

Haha, but that would've been lying. I don't know him...

First thing I saw when I picked the paper up on the driveway @ 5 a.m.. It's important for HS players to know there is another program of consequence on the Front Range. And right on that edge of Mom and Dad not bein' able to hop in the car for an unannounced visit.

"I hope Nebraska paid for that whistle years ago so I don't have to," joked Wyoming athletic director Tom Burman

SMH
If it was anyone other than Burman, I guarantee you wouldn't be SMH. Take it for what it is: a joke.

Maybe its because I'm a newcomer, but I don't understand the vendetta everyone here has with Burman. Makes this site a lot more unpleasant to visit.

It is a joke? More like a stupid thing to say - from none other than the athletics department leader at Wyoming.

Not everyone here has a vendetta with Burman. There are a few that think he has done a fine job.

I guarantee you our conference mates think he is the right guy for Wyoming.

Or maybe its just a joke...He has no doubt made some mistakes and comes off as apathetic at best but he doesn't have horns and a forked tail.

Maybe it wasn't clear enough for you:

"I hope Nebraska paid for that whistle years ago so I don't have to," joked Wyoming athletic director Tom Burman

How do you judge intent of printed words? Who are any of us to say what he meant by that? And why is he a dickface because he differs in opinion than you? I too agree he was joking. And to me it was rather humorous.

Was that clear enough for you?

"Dickface" was just a joke. Nothing personal nor attacking. As you said, who are any of us to say what he meant / I meant / etc., really means. Maybe it was the bolding of the work "JOKED" - surely you saw that - that gave me the right to judge intent of printed word. And now I guess there are 2 of you that thought the Nebraska whistle statement from Burman was a funny joke.

Hopefully this is clear to you.
