Bohl 2009...

Bohl had a set back year in 2009 while at NDSU. They went 3-8. Then he went on to build the dynasty. Our running is fine despite having no passing game and our D is fine. I think he will shake the up the passing game in the off season.

Our running and D is fine so all we have to do is shake up the passing game in the off season??

You do realize that our running game struggled last year and has largely improved this year because of Nico getting his shot and his ability to bust long runs. He will be graduating this year and potentially in line for an NFL shot. Valladay and Bigelow have flashed potential but nowhere on the level Nico has this year.

Additionally, we will be losing almost the entire nucleus of the defense after this year: Wingard, Granderson, Epps, Cain, Malauulu, Prosser and potentially Ghaifan. That is a special defensive line unit the likes of which we will rarely see at Wyoming (if ever again).

I like your optimism but let’s be realistic the defense and run game are likely to take a big step back next year.

The O line/running game and the defense will be fine. Bohl just has to shake up how he approaches the passing game and play calling. I think the Pokes will bounce back. We now need adidas to do a better job with our unis. Our home uni combination looks horrible. The shine needs to be brought back to the pants.

8-27 Without Josh Allen.

You can't blame the coaching staff for their record without Allen, and not give them credit for their record with Allen. This is like saying "without all those 4 and 5-star recruits, Alabama sucks.

If Bohl sticks with Vigen, then I'm in support of evaluation of the staff next year. If he moves on from Vigen, then I'm in support of another 3 years at least.

I really think a build at WYO will take longer than 4 or 5 years. With that said, I agree that it isn't just the record this season but more of how we've looked at times. I get that and fully agree that lack of depth is concerning. Honestly, though, for anyone it is probably a bit of a learning curve to recruit and compete at WYO. I think UNM is in a similar boat and they probably should have kept Rocky.

I don't think the offense needs to change drastically, but I do think it needs tweaked to create more mismatches, have more misdirection to freeze LBs, and maybe reduce the reads for young QBs. I'm speculating on the last one. I would also say that including JA, they need a better QB development coach.

Anyway, my take is if Bohl adjusts, give it time. If not, well, see what next year brings.
