That's all. Just thought it needs to be out there on the front page.

I however think Davie is one of the great defensive minds in the history of College football and also the NFL (even though he never coached NFL) because he was the first coach to be able to figure out how to scheme against the run-n-shoot. He got tired of losing to Houston when they were an offensive juggernaut. The guy basically invented the zone blitz! Which pretty much ended the dominance of the "traditional" run-n-shoot of the Early 90's
Of course I'm pulling for the Pokes. It's no question I want the to see the Pokes Dominate the Lobos. I'm just giving Bob Davie credit because I do respect him as a football coach. The evolution of X's and O's, Offense & Defensive strategies, and coaching have always been an interest of mine.ItSucksToBeACSURam said:Cornpoke said:I understand the smack talk for game week... And he has a better overall record than Craig Bohl. And has beaten Craig Bohl every time they have played, including last years absolute ass kicking (with Brian Hill, et al).
Shall be interesting on Saturday.

Better record, yes. But after Davie was seen congratulating his goons on the sideline after they intentionally and repeatedly smoked Josh in the head I lost all respect for him. Plus he apparently abuses players. Sounds like a great guy

No different than a lot of places / teams though. 2 years ago at The War, CSewe coaches were shouting at their players "they are laying down out there" "look at them all laying down" after they hurt our players. I would guess maybe we don't do that...but it opened my eyes to what one coach said to me years ago - "this is a violent game, played by violent people".
That, and if you don't want your QB's ass kicked, fucking learn to block. Something we know little about since Craig and company came to Wyoming. Hope it changes.
Lastly, not sure I believe all that shit put out by a blogger. He would have lost the team if it was that bad, and they damn near beat CSewe last week. Just my dime on that subject.
