Is this happening? Got this from the other board:

"When UW hired DC they used the WYDOT jets for transportation to do interviews. Tuesday AM there is a WYDOT aircraft scheduled for a flight from Cheyenne-Laramie-Norfolk,VA. Four hours on the ground in Norfolk and back to Laramie and home to Cheyenne. Could be something to do with a new bball coach"

Old Dominion is located in Norfolk, VA. .... So if they are using the plane for interviews then it would have to be Blaine Taylor unless we are interviewing Norfolk St.'s coach which I know is not happening... Interesting to say the least. Just more speculation.

Actually, the Wydot jet is landing in Richmond, not Norfolk. I'm not real familiar with Virginia but I think Richmond is about 90 miles from Norfolk. Could they be interviewing the Richmond or VCU coach? I would kind of doubt that seeing as they are still in the tournament. Maybe an assistant?

From the schedule:
MAR 22

N101WY Cheyenne Laramie 0605A-0630 00:21 (8) PGO/BST

Laramie Richmond 0700A-1155 02:51 (5) PGO/BST

Richmond St Joseph 0400P-0520 02:16 (5) PGO/BST

St Joseph Laramie 0555P-0625 01:26 (5) PGO/BST

Laramie Cheyenne 0635P-0700 00:21 (8) PGO/BST

That link is not working for me, but when I look at the aircraft schedule it tells me it is scheduled to go to Richmond, VA tomorrow the 22nd.

More info on Chris Mooney. Played at Princeton. The year he coached at Air Force, the Falcons were 18-12 and finished third in the MWC. Prior to being named head coach at AFA, he was an assistant so he probably had a hand in the recruiting of the players on the team during his year as head coach. If he can coach and recruit at AFA (with their recruiting restrictions) I think he could probably recruit to Laramie. Watching the Spiders two games in Denver this past weekend, I can tell you his players pressed the entire game and could shoot. My only question is, Are all of his recruiting contacts on the east coast, and if so, can he get some east coast kids to Laramie?

Not real excited about Princeton offense at Wyoming. I was hoping the Norfolk info was correct. Maybe they are talking to VCU coach? Prolly not -- he's still got games to play.

Maybe a sign that the fans are on to their little game? LOL

What a tight lipped search. I can't decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I tend to be positive but man....

Schmoldt just posted this on Twitter: Either Burman really isn't going to VA tomorrow or UW officials -- who are laughing at message board -- are doing a good sell job. #gopokes

New poster here. I love the cowboys as much as anyone else, so don't get me wrong, but why would any of these coaches even think of coming to Laramie? They are coaching teams that are in the tournament already, and winning some games. The Pokes are a few years, at the very least, from that level. Get real, guys, coming to Laramie would be a step DOWN for all of them, except maybe Taylor. Stop this crazy talk!

Conference prestige, bigger contract, easier to recruiting to a reputable school than an anonymous East coast school lost among the hundreds of other schools?

I would say that it's easier to recruit to those schools. I think that private schools might be easier to recruit to than a state school in a lot of situations, plus many of those schools don't have much of a football program which allows them to have better BB programs. I know they might be anonymous to us, but after a girlfriend went to Valparaiso (which I had never heard), you learn those schools have a lot to offer, mostly a steep tuition cost! They are private, which allows them to do a lot of things a state school can't. I'm just saying that a coach is necessarily jumping ship on a private college to go to a state school.

When I was in school, our basketball team was ranked as high as #4 at one point during my sophmore year. The football team was ranked as high as #10 that year too. My point is, Wyoming, compared to the schools who have coaches we are looking at, has a higher ceiling. We have had success in both sports. It doesn' t have to be one or the other. We just need to get them both back on top.

Go Pokes!!

A business jet belonging to M&N Equipment out of Casper left Laramie early this morning en route to Williamsburg, VA. It will shortly returning to Laramie this afternoon.
