Completely agree. July and August are by far the worst months of the year. Why would anybody want 100+ degree weather ever? Or even 85+?

At least in places like Wyoming, you get a dry heat. Try Oklahoma during the summer....oh, boy...the humid heat is the absolute worst!!!!!

Well, after several long months of slowly fading, my great-great aunt passed away this morning at the age of 96. Honestly, fter my great-grandpa (her older brother) died back in 2007, we thought we would have been burying her within a yeard of his death, but she lasted just a bit over 7 years.

I love old people and their stories. We've had a few in my family that lived a long time too.
This year on local news (DFW) a 96 year old woman was still working!

Okay, time for some real bitching. As some of you know, I'm not crazy about fireworks. Unfortunetly for me, I live in a neighborhood comprised mainly of college students. Meaning every fucking year idiots in the neioghborhood set off fireworks in the city limits (quite illegal). About had it with this crap.

Oh, and my dog is terrified of them. Forgot to mention that. But hey, setting off fireworks in the middle of town with a bunch of tall trees and student dorms around? BRILLIANT idea!

On my run I started on a trail and ran it for a while and then got on the roads and went into some neighborhoods where some people were playing with fireworks. It's illegal in town. I breathed in some of the smoke even though I tried to avoid breathing it. When I was practicing my singing and playing that night my throat was hurting from that smoke. That pisses me off! Roar!

Fireworks are horribly overrated. They were fun when you were 14 or so and got to set some off. Then you inevitably started blowing stuff up, and then that got old too. Yay, colors and loud noises and spreading nasty chemicals all over the place while scaring the living crap out of every dog in the neighborhood!

Oh well... different folks, different strokes, I suppose.
