BI Says Hankerson Under Criminal Investigation

as long as he wasn't selling, etc...just dump it out and cut the guy a break.....stupid choice for him but it shouldn't ruin his life.

And newsflash.....WYO wont win anything (well maybe cross country) without a few borderline guys. But agree...STUPID....and during season.... :orly:

*You could see the decline of wyo fb back in the early 2000's by looking in the parking lot....switched from beaters/bikes...to nice SUV's -not bought by boosters. Wyo has to take a few chances on kids but teach them to become men and not be "knuckleheads" <----in Charles Barkley voice :twocents:

Yep. It was something stupid. Not major, but still pretty stupid. May be able to play next season, but he's done this season. Coaches don't like this sort of thing and really crack down on it.

After the Boise game or the Utah state game reinstate him. a 2 or 3 game suspension works for me if he just had a little weed on him. I think the lesson is learned. Not predicting thats what will happen just my personal opinion.

It's a good thing that here in America convictions for this sort of thing cost your average schmoe all eligibility for federal student aid while sparing athletes on scholarship.

But me individually, my job stays the same. I’ve been preparing the same way the whole season, whether it’s a good game or a bad game.

So if he's been preparing the same way all season, must be the reason he hasn't become the player as promised. Hard to play ball at this level when all you want is to chomp down on a big tray of brownies.

I can't imagine playing division 1 ball and doing pot. They are opposite activities and not complimentary.

It pisses me off when someone receiving free education can't make a smart enough choice to stay on a team. Dumb bastard. You have potential and you let something as lame as weed fuck it up? Sort your shit out or gtfo

Here is my diatribe. I will try and keep it clean.

You selfish, dumbass, piece of dog turd.

I might as well quote myself from a year ago when luke did the same thing. You represent every single person from the state, college, the team and all of the fans. You are on our dime and on our watch you selfish dumd bastard. I am so tired of this f ing crap. I realize in the grand scheme of things it isn't that big of a deal... But for right now, and as a disappointed fan, go the hell away Hankerson. Never come back.

I think people make stupid mistakes BECAUSE it's a free education.

people that can't tell the difference between right and wrong at this stage of their lives, i understand kids, etc, but drugs are NEVER good and good things rarely come out of that situation, but I love how everyone thinks cuz its legal in Colo, that makes it good everywhere else......i'll quit for now

Amen. He knew it was ILLEGAL and did it anyways. The big difference between this and drinking is that after the age of 21, drinking is legal. Drugs are not legal at any age in Wyo.

In the words of EV Shelton & Kenny Sailors - "If you can't handle it here, you better go back home and grow up a little".

I disagree. These are young adults, not kids. Do they have alot of learn? Of course they do. They still know what's right and wrong, especially when the options are drugs/no drugs, to bash a man's head in/to not bash a man's head in, to steal from someone/not steal from someone.

The lines aren't exactly blurred in these instances, IMO.

I may be in the minority here but what he did is no big deal. Last year, we had 3 players at the Buckhorn until it closed. No problem there except for the fighter (or kicker). When I was in college, we all smoked a little weed. As far as I'm concerned, it should be legal, even though I haven't smoked it in 15 years.

I realize what he did was illegal. Maybe Wyoming needs to change it's laws. In a state that values personal freedom, it seems silly to keep pot illegal while kids are getting drunk every weekend.

I tend to agree with you. This falls under the "everyone does it, no one cares" category. College is where you figure out who you're going to be as an adult. I made WAY more mistakes in my college years than any other time in my life. It's how you deal with those mistakes that form who you'll be.

Also; Wyoming should legalize pot, as should the rest of the country. I don't smoke and don't care to again, but I see far less risk in legal weed than there is with legal alcohol.
